Understanding the meaning of POLITICAL CONSENSUS (TAHAALUT SIYASI IJTIHAD) in religion ISLAM

In this column I would try to write a little bit of my knowledge about the present day political events of our country whereby at this time of the year 2012 in the next couple of month time supposed to be in the year of 2013 there would be the country general election. In that selected month of the year the need to elect the new administered government as in accordance with the Federal Constitution . Together with federal and state level, the people in their constituency  are qualified  to vote and elect their chosen  representative to the State Assembly and at the same time to the House of Parliament. According to the constitution the votes for the elected representatives are normally from the registered political or coalition parties in the country.

At this juncture the longed established Islamic verses the Secular Party in our country general election is surely become a necessity to open the door of a policy to the political consensus of the Justice Coalition Party to contest in due course before the general election. In other words, the Party should constitute the understanding of political consensus among the Muslim and non-Muslim member of the coalition party. As for the devoted Muslims, Tahaalut SyasiI Ijtihad which is similar to the fundamental objective of BAI'AH that is a pledge of allegiance by the faithful Muslims in the course of the political struggle of the Muslims. It is the pledge of allegiance of the contestants  who are to take part in the future general election. I do believe that the meaning of 'Tahaalut Syasi ' and 'Bai'ah' have been prescribed in the Al-Qur'an and Hadith during the historical era of fighting in war or Jihad Rasoluallah Prophet s.a.w. in the struggle of the righteous development of religion Islam. It becomes the agenda of the coalition party consists of Islamic Party, Democratic Action Party and Justice Party this days agree to set up and establish the political consensus among their component  political organization.

In this respect the need of political consensus or tahaalut syasi ijtihad will auger well and help accordingly the party involved to uphold steadfastly united and working together in order to oppose what is wrong and tyranny in the present administration and mismanagement of the government of the day. In fact it involves in some sort of memorandum of understanding among the coalition party essentially to work together and helping each other to face the opponents. It is normally permitted in our religion to undertake the consensus based on a study of the different aspect of unaccepted or rejected by the Muslims.

The implementation of the political consensus under-mentioned below:

The aim and objective:

1)  Towards Islamic Rule and implementation of Shariah.
2)  Against tyranny and corruption.

Isti'anah (Asking for Help):

1)  They help us.
2)  We help them.

Distribution of Tahaalut Syasi Ijtihad (Consensus):

1)  Leadership by Muslims.
2)  Recommendation of Islamic State.
3)  Acception of Islam and Shariah Conditions.

Finally, the collaboration of coalition is the joint effort in a possible way to topple the opposition government in the general election to be held sooner or later. So, surely it is a mandate to all members of the party to abide in order to achieve the target of victory the States and Federal Government. Whatsoever this in the stance the politicians should undertake to practice absolutely the principle of Tahaalut Syasi Ijtihad in the general election.

Unity, Peace and Prosperous a necessity for our Country.

INTERCESSION (Syfa'at) forbidden between Muslims

In my recent column I have elaborated about the understanding  of the Day of Resurrection or in other connotation is Barzakh in Arabic language. As those Muslims are still have no proper divine knowledge about it and it imply that Islamic scholars are not permissible are strictly forbidden to act as intercessors in the Day of Judgment in the Hereafter. There comes the issue of the words of INTERCESSION which clearly defined as to plead and seek help for other person Allah SWT forgiveness of their innumerable sins and evil deeds they have committed. Muslim should believe that the obligation of intercession is only given to our Prophet s.a.w for the Mercy and Blessing of Allah SWT.  Therefore, the act of pleading  and seeking help for other people by the intercessors for their goodness or misdeeds is clearly forbidden among the Muslims. In this respect, let us observe and refer to surah Al-Muddathir verse 48 mentioned below:

Surah Al-Muddathir verse 48: (The Resurrection)

Verse 48 - "So no intercession of intercessors will be of any to them."

From the aforementioned short verse of verse 48 in surah Al-Muddathir clearly stipulated that during the Judgment Day whoever the intercessors who plead for Mercy for other people were not accepted as Prophet s.a.w affirmed that any person could not give intercession for another except the approval (re-proof) from Allah SWT.

For further elaboration, in the Hereafter there emerged a man seeking help from the intercessor to beg Prophet s.a.w to give the drink at the Lake-Fount  (Kauther) and instead only some selected man had been offered the drink at the said Well Kauther. For our information, whoever Muslims who had been rewarded drink at this well will never become thirsty. The Prophet s.a.w once said: "I am your predecessor at the Lake-Fount (Kauther) and some men among you will be brought to me and where I will try to hand them some water and whoever will come to it, will drink for it and will never become thirsty after that."

In another aspect in the Afterlife during the Judgement Day the present of intercessors pleaded to seek help to enable the persons to walk safely on the Sirat al-Mustaqin which is believe to be a bridge walk away extending above the surface of Hell Fire whereby the bridge made up of shoots, had hooks, claws spikes and spines. Those Muslims who are obedient and hold steadfastly righteous path will proceed and walk on the Sirat al-Mustaqin will passed swiftly across it with the appropriate speed based on the rate of their faith.

Finally, I conclude and call upon that Muslims should be well aware that intercession is the hand of Allah SWT and He does not stand in need of anybody's faith. The Al-Qur'an is an admonition that has been presented before the people openly and should worship Allah SWT alone and has the divine power to forgive the one who adopts piety and God consciousness even though may have committed  many acts of disobedience in the past. So, in the Day of Judgment in the when no intercessors shall avail with one another and in other word the intercessions are of no use to them and will receive Judgement from Allah SWT in the Hereafter.

Allah SWT is Almighty, Most Mercy and Off-Forgiving.

Understanding the Day of Resurrection (Alam Barzakh)

  • In this usual column, I would try to highlight with my little knowledge about the Day of  Resurrection some sort of lateral meaning of 'Alam Barzakh' of which I strongly feel that majority of the Muslims are still in the oblivion to apprehend the existed of the day of resurrection or alam barzakh which we are definitely going to face in the Hereafter. In other words, we should understand and believe that alam barzahk is a 'barrier' until the Day when human being accordingly all divinity revealed religion when a person dies on this Earth he will not be reborn until the day or resurrection. Evidently after the destruction of the Earth (Quimat ) mankind will rise up from the dead to be judged by Allah SWT who is the only God worthy of worship, the Greatest of the Judge. From the time a man dies until he is resurrected remains in a suspended state known in Arabic language as 'Barzakh' Let us observe and refer to Al-Qur'an surah Al-Mu'minum verses 99 to 100 mentioned below:
Surah Al-Mu'minum verse 99 to 100: (The Believers)

Verse 99 - "Until, when death to one of them (those who join partners with Allah), he says "My Lord! Send me back."

Verse 100 - "So that I may do good in that which I have left behind!" No! It is but a word that he speaks, and behind them is Barzakh (a barrier) until the Day when they will be resurrected."

From the above aforementioned surhl Al-Mu'minum verses 99 to 100, we are to learn there emerged a person after he died and rise up he requested and pleaded to Allah SWT to send him back to the earth in a way to seek the righteous path of which he deviated. At this juncture, Allah SWT will not entertain or accepted his pleading and it will be too late because there will be as barrier between them and the world they have left behind till the Day they are raised to life again. They are separated and neither they have worldly relations between them any more nor they will help and intercession with each other. The only those whose weight of good deeds is heavy will attain salvation and as for those whose weight is light they will be the ones who has lost their reward to live in the Hell Fire forever.

In the Alam Barzakh, it is believed that many people who died a thousand years ago, they have been waiting for the period of years before finally brought back to life. Prophet s.a.w affirmed that:

"Every one's death is the beginning of the Resurrection."

Further as an analogy in Barzakh, people as if awoke from a prolonged deep unconsciousness thinking that little or no time or long duration has passed after ones sleep for hours yet awaking, he feel as though he had only close his eyes. So, there is no partied or decent people in trying to imagine awaiting for centuries in Alam Barzakh because they thought that the time stated has no relevant to them. Though the believers understood that they are in reality dead had become dust and bones, they could not escape the torment and they will be resurrected in Barzakh

Finally, I conclude upon the Muslims to realize that Exalted Allah SWT give us life and will cause us to die and eventually will again give us life on the Day of Resurrection to face the final Judgement Day in the Hereafter.

Allah SWT is the Most Kind and Courteous, Well-Acquainted with everything.

Understanding of Covenant with Allah SWT

Covenant with Allah SWT simply means a Divine Laws sealed contract with Allah SWT and through this column I would humbly seek to explain according to my knowledge and understanding the words of Covenant especially with the Allah SWT in our religion Islam. The covenant with mankind made to Allah SWT during the pre-creation of human being they should obviously  recognize Allah SWT as their Lord and uphold the Oneness of Him the truth  and do sincerely good deeds to please Allah SWT and none else. The good deeds done for other then the Exalted Allah SWT are not acceptable. Besides the other essential part of the covenant is the declaration of the faith that is 'Shahadah' which every Muslims made in order to become a full pledged  Muslims that is - "la-elaha llah" (that there is no God worthy of worship but Allah alone). Let us then observe and refer the Al-Qur'an verse 60 in surah Ghafir mentioned below:

Surah Ghafir verse 60: (The Forgiver or The Believer)

"And your Lord said: Invoke Me, (i.e believe in My Oneness (Islam Monotheism) and ask Me for anything) I will respond to your (invocation). Verily, those who scorn My worship (i.e not invoke Me and do not believe in My Oneness. (Islam Monotheism) they will surely enter Hell in humiliation!"

From the above aforementioned verse 60 of surah Ghafir cited that Allah SWT has commanded the believers to uphold steadfastly His Oneness and those who invoked not believe in the Oneness of Allah SWT will directly enter the Hell in a humiliation manner.

The covenant of the believers Muslims will only be fulfilled by sincere belief and purity believed faithfully in Tawheed in our daily lives. Tawheed in its general meaning is the belief in singling Allah SWT in Lordship. Sincerely and faithfully worshiping Allah SWT and affirming belief in Him Alone because He is the Creator of all creatures. Tawheed is part in practice of the Muslims by avoiding the act of shirk that setting up partner with God.

Further, Allah SWT has sent a practical living experience of life based on the principal of Tawheed because men and women have declared that Allah SWT is his Lord and he must considered righteous and evil deeds likewise be judged by Allah SWT and His Messenger Prophet Muhammad s.a.w.

Finally, I conclude one who is pious and really abide by Allah's SWT commandments should pray and seek Blessing and Forgiveness directly without any intermediary. We should believe that Allah SWT can create all things and every things on this Earth.

Allah is Off-Forgiving and Most Merciful

SUBMISSION spontaneously and SACRIFICE to the pleasure of ALLAH SWT on the EID AL-ADHA 1433 H

Muslims of all ethnic races in numerous corner of the Muslims world in the month of al-Hijrah converge to Mecca and Medina to perform the obligation Hajj Pilgrimage on the occasion of EID AL-ADHA 1433 H. The event is the yearly commemoration of Hajj which becomes an obligation to perform pilgrimage to the KA'ABAH in MISIDIL-HARAM. and other Hajj rituals in ARAFAH, MUZZALIFAH and MINA. The Hajj pilgrimage is fixed days normally on the 10th. day of the 12th.month in the Islamic calender month of Dhu al-Hijjah.

Muslims would understand that the word 'Eid' appear in surah Al-Maidah denotes the 'Table Spread', meaning some festivals which generally  creates a feeling of joy, love and lively among the children. Whatsoever,  it also called for a Submission that are usually spontaneous, Conscientious  and Obedient or any resistant against the will and guidance of God. It is as quoted in surah Al-Baqarah verse 208: " Islam teaches us to submit completely and wholeheartedly  - by obeying all the rules and regulations  of Islam religion and follow not the footsteps of Shiatan (Satan). Verily, He is to your a plain enemy."

While we are to commemorate the Eid al-Adha, we are requested to perform the 'sacrifice' which is the faithful trail and triumph of Prophet Abraham  described in surah Al-Hajj verse 36 mentioned below:

Surah Al-Hajj verse 36: (The Pilgrimage)

"And the Budn (cow, oxen, or camels driven to be offered as sacrifices by the pilgrims at the santuary of Makkah. We have made them for you as among the Symbols of Allah, wherein you have much good. So mention the Name of Allah over them when they are up in lines (for sacrifice). Then, when they down on their sides (after slaughter), eat thereof, and feed the poor who do not ask (men), and the beggar who asks (men). Thus have We made them subject to that you may be grateful."

From the above aforementioned verse 36 surah Al-Hajj slaughtering of the animals above as sacrifices not only in the occasion on Hajj pilgrimage in Mecca but it also permissible to perform the sacrifice in other home Muslims country. During this Hajj period, the ritual of sacrifice is truly a good deeds for the Muslims profession because it is among the Symbol of Allah SWT. Therefore the meats after slaughtering the animals should be sincerely and fairly distributed to feed the poor and the beggars. The share of the sacrifice meats are fairly distributed and divide into three parts as followed:

1)   The family retains one third of the share.
2)   Another one third is given to friend and neighbour.
3)   The other third is given to the poor and needy.

For our information, the above act of sacrifice remind us the symbolize and willingness to give up the benefit to us close to our heart in order to follow the command of Allah SWT. It also symbolize the willingness to give up some of our bounties in a way to strengthen the bond of Muslims friendship and help those in needs. We should truly recognize the blessing and command of Allah SWT and open our heart and be united with other Muslims brotherhood nation.

In the past era of Prophet and Rasool, we Muslims truly believe in respect of 'Sacrifice' of Prophet Abraham's trail and triumph was to face the command of Allah SWT to kill his only son Ismael. Upon hearing the command of Allah SWT, he immediately prepared to submit to Allah's SWT will. However, when he at the moment prepared to sacrifice his son, then Allah SWT revealed to him that his sacrifice has been fulfilled. In this respect, he has shown his love and obedience  to his Lord supercede all others to sacrifice his beloved son which is eventually  replace by Allah SWT the slaughter of a Wether. This momentous sacrifice is depicted in surah As-Saffat verse 107 and the same surah of verse 102 narrated below:

Surah As-Soffat verse 102: (Those Ranged in Ranks)

"And, when he (his son) was old enough to walk with him, he said: "O my son! I have seen in a dream that I am slaughtering you (offering you in sacrifice to Allah). So look what you think!". He said: "O my father! Do that which you are commanded, Insha Allah (if Allah will), you shall find me of As-Sabirin (the patient)."

Surah As-Saffat verse 107: (Those Ranged in Ranks)

"And We ransomed  him with a great sacrifice (i.e kibas - a ram)."

From the two verses 102 and 107 of surah As-Saffat cited when Prophet Abraham's beloved son Ismael  reached the age of adult stage Abraham said to him: "O my son! I have seen a vision that I should offer you as a Sacrifice, now tell me what your view!: "He replied, "O my father! Do as you are commanded: "You will find me, if Allah so will of the patient." The subject matter of sacrifice and obedience in themselves practice by Muslims have nothing to do with the atoning for any sins committed by the Muslims. This is the misconception of the Muslims regarding the sacrifice in the slaughtering of selected animals to commemorate the occasion of Eid al-Adha. Whatsoever the sacrifice in the present day or past era on this significant deeds we should believe and hold steadfastly the verse 37 of Al-Qur'an surah Al-Hajj which cited: "It is not the meat nor the blood that reaches Allah, it is your piety reaches Him."

In this commemoration of Eid al-Adha, I hereby conclude that the symbolism is the attitude of our willingness to sacrifice as a Straight Path in our lives as to follow Allah's SWT command completely and obediently. It is therefore the strength of our heart, purity in faith and obedience and hold steadfastly our religion tenets by all Muslims on this Earth.

Allah SWT does not love anyone who is Treacherous and Ungrateful.

The meaning of VICEGERENCY (Khalifah) as ALLAH's VICEGERENTS on this Earth

Doubtfulness emerged the question of whether the Muslims are really Allah's SWT vicegerents sent down to this Earth as a distinction to other being which all were created by Allah SWT. In this connection I seek to write with my knowledge to understand and identify the meaning of the words Vicegerency (Khalifah)  from the point of view of Al-Qur'an. Let us together refer and ponder for a while  surah Al-Baqarah verse 30 as stipulated below:

Surah Al-Baqarah verse 30: (The Cow)

"And (remember) when your Lord said to the angels: "Verily, I am going to place (mankind) generations after generations on earth." They said: "Will You place therein those who will make mischief therein and shed blood, - while we glorify You with praise and thanks and sanctify You." He (Allah) said: "I know that which you do not know."

The above aforementioned verse 30 Al-Baqarah relates the story of Adam's creation. Allah SWT said to the angels that He is going to place a vicegerent on the earth. The angels then negatively reject the suggestion because they feel and believe that the chosen vicegerents would make numerous mischief and shed blood among the mankind in the lifetime on the earth. Allah SWT replied that He is well versed with what He is doing with them nonetheless the angels did not know about His creation.

In another surah Al-Ana'm verse 165 narrated narrated below:

Surah Al-An'am verse 165: (The Cattle)

"And it is He Who have made you generations coming after generations, replacing each other on the earth. And he has raised you in ranks, some above others that He may try you in that which He has bestowed on you. Surely you Lord is Swift in retribution, and certainly He is Off-Forgiving, Most Merciful."

For further elaboration from the above verse 165 of surah Al-Ana'm which in other words, Allah SWT is the one and only Creator and gave life to mankind on the Earth as such He is the Owner, inheritor and the God of the Universe. Allah SWT absolutely has no peer worthy of worship other then Him alone and we  Muslims should absolutely believe that all His prophets from Prophet Adam to the final Prophet Muhammad (s.a.w).

As a vicegerent on earth, Allah SWT has made us the inheritor of the earth and duly raised some of us ranks and file over others so that He may tests us on what He has given us retributions on our misdeeds and seek to compensate our wrong doings on the earth and yet Allah SWT is also very Forgiving and Merciful to mankind.

Finally, I conclude that it is rather clear that Islamic world-view indicate that vicegerents on earth form a test which includes how mankind fulfill righteous duties for themselves and each other with the rest of God's creation. It is going to be upon divine instructions base upon the personal desire and conjectures which might lead to the destruction of the Islamic fabrics. As we believe as a consequent, it would be trusted the vicegerents of other different people and generations if we rejected  and deviated from the commandment  of Allah SWT.

Allah SWT is Off-Forgiving, Most Merciful

RESPONSE to GREETING "Assalamu-Alaykum" (Peace be upon you) a propriety in the Islamic brotherhood among the Muslims

From my observation in our daily lives being a Muslim I seldom found out majority of Muslims Islamic religious profession did not at all adhere or oblige the response to the essential Islamic greeting in such a simple words of "Assalamu-Alaykum wa Rabaltuh" and "Wa-Alaykum wa Rabatuh" (Peace upon you) among the Muslims.  In this usual column, I would prefer to call upon all those pious Muslims in some sort of  Da'wah in calling mankind to Allah SWT exclusively to Muslims . In reality, from my knowledge this Islamic greeting which is one of the most significant obligation on the Muslims to heed and response to this aspect of this Islamic greeting and it becomes a propriety to Muslims as to ensure the ultimate success in our religion Islam in order  to strengthen the bond of Islamic brotherhood in our lifetime. Let us then observe and refer  to the Al-Our'an  surah An-Nisa verse 86 below:

Surah An-Nisa verse 86: (The Women)

"When anyone greets in a courteous manner, let your greeting be better then his, or at least return the same. Allah keep account of everything."

The above aforementioned verse in Al-Qur'an surah An-Nisa verse 86 and there other numerous similar verses, not only to conferred to obligation greeting to the Muslims but also to the non-Muslims as a formality in our peaceful multiracial and religious community. As stated in some verses in Al-Qur'an gives permission to wish 'Salam' to the non-Muslims. The same greeting also used by our Prophet (s.a.w) to greet non-Muslims members: "And peace (Salams) to all who follow guidance." The Al-Qur'an mentioned in surah Maryam verses 41 and 46 and also in surah Ta' Ha' verse 47. Surah Maryam - "The story of Prophet Ibrahim and his idol worshiping father - Prophet Ibrahim pray to the Rabb for his forgiveness - "Peace be upon you!" - for He is the Most Gracious. In another surah Ta' Ha' - "We have brought you a Sign from your Rabb": - "May peace upon him" - who follows the guidance.

As to quote the above nature of Islamic Greeting whenever any Muslims are wishing you - 'Assalamu Alaykum wa Barakatuh!", then we have to wish him back - 'Wa alaykum wa Rabakatuh". It is the true meaning is - 'May Peace, Mercy and Blessing of Allah SWT be upon you'.

For further elaboration, those herein narrations conceive the greeting to another person or Muslims is a sign of love and respect. Therefore, Muslims disbelievers whoever not wishing the greeting to other Muslims are obviously disrespect, contempt and hatred among them. For our guideline we take the look and refer to the Hadith reported by Abu Hurairah indicated that there are six ways of  wishing the greeting to  fellow Muslims which is clearly affirmed by our Prophet (s.a.w):

1)    When you meet him, greet him.
2)     If he invite you, accept his invitation.
3)     If he seek your advise, give him a honest and sincere advise.
4)     If he sneeze, and praise God, bless him.
5)     If he fall ill, visit him and
6)     If he dies, attend the funeral.

For giving the righteous advice, any person who is asked for advice commit sins, if he deliberately and knowingly gave the wrong advice, to do so is dishonest and dishonesty is strictly forbidden in our religion Islam.

Finally, I conclude with my knowledge that this Islamic greeting is essential in our Society wherever they happen to be. Thus, when Muslims meet each other even though they are strangers to each others, the moment they meet and utter the Islamic greeting, they immediately found that they have a common goal as a bonded Muslims even when they do not speak each other languages. So, it is vital for Muslims to adhere and heed to this Islamic Greeting and wishing Salam in our religion Islam.

And Peace (Salams) to all Muslims who abide by the Islamic Guidance

The Creation of ADAM in relation to the UNBELIEVERS of IBLIS (SATAN) in Religion ISLAM

In this column, I would proceed to pen down and try to highlight the recent controversial statement surfaced by one of our prominent Muslim leader who lambasted out to the people that he firmly believed that it is better to work with the 'Devil' we know rather then with the 'ANGEL' we do not know. In other words, he conceived that people are more better to support the ruling devil Government of the day compared to the Opposition political party which is likened an angel with better image and reputation revelation by Allah SWT. Some people are astonished of his mindset parable to quote about devil and angel good and bad to both political party concern. In this respect it is absolutely true that as stated by Allah SWT that the devil is a notorious, rebellious and influential creature to mankind. So, we are strictly forbidden to bow and worship the devil of any kinds in our every lives. Let us then refer and observed to Al-Qur'an surah Al-Kahf verse 50 mentioned below:

Surah Al-Kahf verse 50: (The Cave)

"And [remember] when We said to the Angel: "Prostrate yourselves unto Adam." So they prostrate themselves except Iblis [Satan]. He was one of the jinn; he disobeyed the Command of his Lord. Will you then take him [Iblis] and his offspring as protectors and helpers rather then Me while they are enemies to you? What ah evil is the exchange for the Zalimun [polytheists, and wrong-doers]."

From the above aforementioned verse is revealed in Al-Qur'an the story of the creation of Adam in relation to the disbelievers of Iblis [Satan] where Allah SWT has explicitly said that the devils are rebellious lot and arrogant as well as dare to think that they are the only one of the exalted one. In other words, the Iblis are arrogant and mistook that they are highly respected and better than the angels because God has created them from Fire whereas the angels moulded and created from CLAY.

In the above episode, Allah SWT cursed the Iblis and finally sent them out from the Heaven to the Earth and the devils [Iblis] are existed up to the present until the resurrection day. However Allah SWT gave the Iblis [Satan] respite till the Day of Resurrection. Iblis then declared and swear before Allah SWT that they will mislead the people on the earth till the Judgement Day except those God chose sincere devotee among them. God led the Iblis go astray and will make evil-seeming the on earth. Iblis would seduce them all except those misguided ones who tend to follow and bow to the Iblis [Satan]. They will all ultimately destined for Hell in the Hereafter.

To go further, from my knowledge Iblis [Satan] is a kind of creature that could not do good deeds and that the commit notorious evils and rebellious. He [the Iblis], was so called 'Iblis' and 'Satan' after he arrogantly rejected to prostrate to Adam [pbuh] and become conceited and rebelled due the order of prostration. With the action of Iblis we are to believe that the Iblis try to make every effort to influence the people in order to commit sins and misleading the Muslim believers as to bow and worship the Iblis [Satan].

From the second surah An-Nas after Al-Fatihah we observed we are advised to seek refuge in the name of Allah SWT - from the mischief of the slinking whispers in the Satan and his workers who whisper in the heart of the people - whether he be among the Jinn [devil] or from the mankind. While we observed in another surah Yaa Sin verses 60 - 61 which mentioned: "O ye Children of Adam, that you should not worship Satan for he was to your an enemy avowed? And that you worship Me, [for that] This was the Straight Way".

Finally, I conclude that we as Muslims should hold steadfastly seek refuge with Allah SWT from the mischief and influential of Iblis [Satan] and his workers who tend to whisper into the heart of the people whether he be from the Jinn, Iblis or from the mankind influenced by the Iblis. Muslims are commanded to distanced from the Iblis, and seek to distinguish between the devil and angel and avoid the Iblis [Satan] as to astray and misled us our lives in our Religion Islam.

Seek refuge with Allah SWT from all evils - He is the Provider, Owner of Power and Most Strong.

Understanding the distinction between a Messenger (Rasool) and Prophet (Nabi), and the Final Prophet Muhammad (SAW) in religion Islam

In this ongoing the month Syawwal after the blessed month of Ramadhan , I would humbly continue to write in this column with my understanding and relate a little bit of my knowledge about the distinction between a Messenger [Rasool] and Prophet [Nabi]. I presume that there are some people usually contradict and tend to confuse between those two words of a Messenger and Prophet. Before I elaborate further, let us apprehend the true meaning of Prophet and Rasool of which by definition the Prophets are Messengers while on the other hand Rasool is meant also a Messenger or Apostle. In other words Prophet [Nabi] are interchangeable and notwithstanding that Prophet Muhammad s.a.w was both Prophet and Messenger.

Definition and meaning of 'Messenger' and 'Rasool' are given in the following surah As-Saff verse 9 and surah An-Nisa below:

Surah As-Saff verse 9: (The Row or the Rank)

"He it is Who has sent His Messenger [Muhammad s.a.w] with guidance and the religious of truth [Islamic Monotheism] to make it victorious over all [other] religions even though the Mushrikin [polytheists, pagans, idolaters and disbelievers in the Oneness of Allah and His Messenger Muhammad s.a.w hate [it]."

Besides, from the other surah Al-Fath verse 28, Allah SWT mentioned He sent His Messenger [Muhammad s.a.w] with guidance and the religion of truth Islam and He makes it [Islam] superior to all religion while in the above aforementioned surah As-Saff verse 9, Allah SWT prescribed the almost similar meaning, that He sent His Messenger [Prophet Muhammad s.a.w] with guidance and the religion of truth [Islam Monotheism] to make superior and victorious over all other religion even though the Mushrikin [polytheism], pagans, idolaters, and the disbelievers in Oneness of Allah and His Messenger [Prophet Muhammad s.a.w].

We as a Muslim should believe and hold steadfastly only a few individuals is quoted in Al-Qur'an are Messengers as mentioned in surah As-Saff verses 4, 5 and 8 which narrated the Holy God loved those who fight in His Cause. Even Moses said to his people; "O my people! why do ye vex and insult me, though ye know that I am the Messenger of God [sent] to you?" God guides those who are not rebellious transgressors. God will complete [the revelation]. His Light to those even though to the unbelievers may detest.

From the other following surah An-Nisa verses 163, 164 and 165: (The Women)

Verse 163 - "Verily, We have sent the revelation to you [O Muhammad s.a.w] as We sent the revelation to Noh [Noah] and the Prophets after him. We [also] sent the revelation to Ibrahim [Abraham], Ismail [Ismeal], Ishaq [Isaac], Ya'qub [Jacob] and Al-Asb'at [the offspring of the twelve sons of Ya'qub [Jacob], Isa [Jesus], Ayyub [Job], Yunus [Jonah], Harun [Aaron], and Sulaimanm [Solomon]; and to Daud [David] We gave to Zabur {Psalms]."

Verse 164 - "And Messengers We have mentioned to you before, and Messengers We have not mentioned to you - and to Musa [Moses] Allah spoke directly."

Verse 165 - "Messengers are bearers of good news as well as of warning in order that mankind should have no plea against Allah after [the coming of] Messengers. And Allah is Ever All-Powerful, All-Wise."

From the above aforementioned verses of An-Nisa 163 to 165 which constitutes the revelation and messages to mankind offered valuable and beneficial guidance from Allah SWT from Scripture from God with the revelation [Wahyu] in the sense of revelation is the guidance from God for His Messengers brought by the Prophets who transmit the words of God

Rasool is used for Moses, Jesus and Prophet Muhammad s.a.w. They are all considered as law bearing Messengers with Book and Revelation [Deen]. In the Holy Al-Qur'an we seldom observe there are many more prophets considered them as Messengers namely some of them are Isa, Jacub, Ismael, Idris, David, Salamon and many others. They are all Prophets and none of them come with new religion.

Revelaas wtions were also sent to the Rasools who are responsible to convey good news to mankind. As mentioned by God, the Prophet and Rasool constitute the component aspect to the Muslims believers. The first is the INSPIRATION for example the familiar Dream which Prophet Ibrahim receive guidance in a vision while asleep to sacrifice his son. The second factor is the aspect of SPEECH where the God spoke to Prophet Musa from the burning Fire and finally to Prophet Muhammad are message of WORDS [speech] sent through messages from God to the angel Gabriel who recited to the Prophet Muhammad s.a.w God's words exactly.

Finally, it is absolutely a true evidence in the aforementioned surah As-Saff and An-Nisa those that who obey God and His Messengers are in the company in the Grace of God, the Prophets with sincere and true teachings as well as testifying the righteous good deeds to mankind. Such is the Bounty from Allah SWT.

Sufficient that Allah SWT Knoweth all.

HORRORS and PUNISHMENTS in HELL for the UNBELIEVERS

In my recent column, I have written about the significant rewards Muslim believers would receive in the Paradise and in this writing I continue to elaborate some of the worse punishments and pains the unbelievers would get when they are dragged into the Hell in the Hereafter. This is clearly reflected in numerous verses of Al-Qur'an especially in verse 192 surah Al-Imran, verse 6 surah At-Tahrim and verse 24 in surah Al-Baqarah which are listed below:

Surah Al-Imran verse 192: (The Family of Imran)

"Our Lord! Verily, whom You admit to the Fire, indeed, You have disgraced him, and never will the Zalimun [polytheists and wrond-doers] find any helpers."

Surah At-Tahrim verse 6: (The Prohibition)

"O, you who believe! Ward off yourselves and your families against a Fire [Hell] whose fuel is men and stones over which are [appointed] angels stern [and] severe, who disobey not, [from executing] the Commands they receive from Allah, but do that which they are commanded."

Surah Al-Baqarah verse 24: (The Cow)

"But if you do it not, and you can never do it, then fear the the Fire [Hell] whose fuel is men and stones, prepared for the disbelievers."

From the aforementioned chosen verses in surah Al-Imran, At-Tahrim and Al-Baqarah, we were ask to understand that the Hell is a real place prepared by Allah SWT for those who does not believe in Him, rebel against His Laws and reject His Messengers. Hell is an actual place it being an anguish pains, horrors and various punishments prepared for the unbelievers but at different nature of punishments of one's sins and evil deeds.

Hell similar to Paradise presently exist and external. Hell is actually exist at the present time and will continue to exist for ever. It will never die down and its inhabitants will remain it it for ever. No one will come out of Hell except sinful believers in the Oneness of Allah SWT in his life and believe in specified Prophets sent to them before coming of Prophet Muhammad s.a.w. The polytheist and the unbelievers will reside in it for ever. The Al-Qur'an dully stated that Hell have been created before mankind lived in this earth.

Further, if we were to refer to some various verses in the Al-Qur'an stated that the Hell Fire has each names were given a separate description as mentioned below:

1) Jaheem - Fire - because of blazing fire
2) Jahanam - Hell - because of the dept of its pit
3) Ladthaa - Blazing Fire - because of its flames
4) Sa'eer - Blazing Flames - because of its kindle and ignited
5) Saqar - Because of its intensity of its heatt
6) Hatanah - Broken pieces and debris - because it breaks and crush everything that it thrown into it.
7) Hawiyah - Chasm as abyss - because the one who is thrown into it, is thrown from top to bottom.

As to go further, Hell has various worst of punishment, each is reserved according to the extent of one disbelief and sins of those being punished. In verse 145 surah An-Nisa, Allah SWT says: "Surely the hypocrites will be in the lowest dept [grade] of the Fire." In another verses 6 and 24 of surah At-Tahrim and Al-Baqarah prescribed to advise the believers to protect the families from the Fire whose fuel is the people themselves and stones prepared for the disbelievers in the Hell.

Finally, Hell is actually has no exact place and no one know the place except Allah SWT. Some scholars believed and stated that the Hell is near the Heaven yet some say it is in the lowest earth. With all the findings and opinion, we should have the conscience and believe that Hell is large and immensely deep and innumerable people especially disbelievers will definitely enter the Hell in the Hereafter.

Allah is All-Seers of what we do.

The Significant Rewards in the Hereafter

Presumably there emerge the questions of whether the Muslim believers would easily enter Paradise instead of Hell. The reality of Paradise and Hell are something people never be understand until they actually enter it, but Allah SWT shows us the glimpse in the Al-Qur'an. They are obviously stated that Paradise and Hell presently exist and external. In this usual column I would try to discuss a little bit of my knowledge of this controversial Paradise while the aspect of Hell I reserve my writing in my later column. Let us observe and refer to surah Al-Baqarah verses 26 and 27 mentioned below:

Surah Al-Baqarah verses 26 and 27: (The Cow)

Verse 26 - "Verily, Allah is not ashamed to set a parable even of a mosquito or so much more when it is bigger [or less when it is smaller] than it. And for those who believe, they know that it is the Truth from their Lord. but for those who believe they say: "What did Allah intend by this parable?" By it He mislead many, and many He guides thereby. And He misleads thereby only those who are Al-Fasiqun [The rebellious. disobedient to Allah."

Verse 27 - "Those who break Allah's Covenant after ratifying it, and server what Allah has ordered to be joined [as regards Allah's religion of Islamic Monotheism, and to practise its laws on the earth and also as regards keeping good relations with kith and kin], and do mischief on earth, it is they who are losers."

From the above two verses of surah Al-Baqarah, I would make a study the meaning the narrations written by the well-known Islamic Scholar Abdul al-Madudi which explains that it will be a pleasant surprise for the dwellers of the Paradise to have the fruits like the one which the were familiarize on the earth. Of course, they are more delicious. For instance, they would be lie mangoes, pomegranate, , oranges, etc., in the shape of calours and the dwellers of Paradise will once recognize Then in such but they will be infinitely are more delicious then the mangoes, pomegranate and oranges of the world. It is similar statement notably in the surah Al-Haqqah verse 24 prescribed: "Eat and drinks at ease for that you have sent forth [good deeds] in the days past."

From the aforementioned verse, such fruits were provided to us before on earth. In other aspect, Allah SWT has described it as a place of essentially different to the life in which people will enjoy them and every good things which will be theirs in Paradise to a degree that surpasses our ability to imagine. Allah SWT has prepared such blessing true as gifts and only, those will only offered only to the people with whom He is pleased.

In another second verse from surah Al-Baqarah verese 27 the same Scholar quoted the defination of words aswa [sig. zauj] as used for the husband and for the wife, the wife is zauj for the husband and the husband is zauj for the wife. In the Paradise the spouses will be joined of the basic of piety. For instance, if a certain man lived pious life in the world but the wife did not, the marriage will be dissolved in the Hereafter and the pious man will be united with another pious women whose marriage has similarity been disobeyed and so both husband and wife had pious lives here they would continuing to live as husband and wife for ever in the Paradise.

With another relevant surah Al-Kahf verse 31 stipulated: "There ! for them will be the 'Adn [Edan] Paradise [ Ever lasting Garden] wherein the rivers flows underneath them, therein they will be adorned with bracelets of gold and they wear green garments of fine thick silk. The will recline therein on raised throne. How good is the rewards and what an excellant, Murtafaq [dwelling and resting place]".

Finally, Muslim believers who did good deeds Allah SWT certainly will comply and offer heavenly rewards to those who did the righteous deeds in perfect manner. So Muslims should believe the significant of rewards as ordained by Allah SWT in the Hereafter.

Allah SWT is Al-Mighty and Most Merciful.

Ways of Avoiding the Deviation of Aqeedah.

In my recent article, I elaborate at length the matter of Aqeedah in respect of deviation that would nullified the faith of our religion Islam. In this column I would try to pen down briefly to describe the righteous ways of avoiding the deviation of the said Aqeedah. Let us observe and refer to one of the verse 89 from surah An-Nahl mentioned below:

Surah An-Nahl verse 89: (The Bees)

"And [remember] the Day when We shall raise up from every nation a witness against them for among themselves. And We shall bring you [O Muhammad s.a.w] as witness against these.. And We have sent down to you the Book [the Qur'an] as an exposition of everything, a guidance, a mercy, and glad tidings for those who have submitted themselves [to Allah as Muslims]."

From the above verse cited  that the Al-Qur'an is the authenticity and  well preserved Holy Book that exposed  a plain statement for mankind, a guidance and good tidings to those who are Al-Muttaqun the pious who have submitted themselves to Allah SWT as Muslims. As stipulated in the verse 89 in surah An-Nahl that Allah SWT sent down the Holy Book to the Muslims in order they would endeavour to seek the guidance from the Al-Qur'an the correct ways to avoid the deviation of Aqeedah . The truth is that the Al-Qur'an has dully explain everything for the abomination the evil misdeeds and a blessing of the good deeds  for the Muslim believers.

Further more, the other criteria as to the avoiding the deviation is the important of learning and  abide by the guidance that lead to the righteous and correct aqeedah for example the guidance and study of 'salafus-salih' at differant educational level or organizing the study of pure books of salifu-salih and staying away from the book of like sufis, the innovation as to reflect the ways of falsehood.

Finally, as stipulated in numerous verses in Al-Qur'an the only ways to avoid the deviation is to hold steadfastly the commandment of Allah SWT as well as the guidance of the Sunnah of His Messenger Prophet Muhammad s.a.w to strive and  perform the righteous and correct belief [Aqeedah].

Correct Aqeedah is the Blessing og Allah SWT.

To avoid or slacken the conflict of Racism by establishing or conducting IFTAR among the non-Muslims in the month of Ramadhan.

In this ongoing the blessed month of Ramadhan, I would try to write and suggest the idea of establishing the IFTAR [The breaking of Fast] among the non-Muslims as how to avoid the controversial episode of conflict among our multi-racial and multi- religious community this days. To be a devout Muslims, we should call upon other Muslim brothers to avoid or slacken the conflicts in a manner of Islamic way of life that is to establish or conduct the Iftar among the Muslims and non-Muslims in this auspicious blessed month of Ramadhan. Let us observe and try to refer to the two verses in Al-Qur'an surah Al-Mumtahanah verses 8 and 9 mentioned below:

Surah Al-Mumtahanah verses 8 and 9: (The women to be examined)

Verse 8 - "Allah does forbid you to deal justly and kindly with who fought not against you on account of religious nor drove you out of your homes. Verily, Allah loves those who deal with equity."

Verse 9 - "It is only as regards those who fought against you on account of religious, and have driven you out of your homes, and helped to drive you out, that Allah forbids you to befriend them. And whoever will be befriend them, then such are the Zalimun [wrongdoers - those who disobey Allah."

From the above those two verses surah Al-Mumtahanah, no doubt any acts of wrong-doing among the Muslims especially the unjustifiable and conflict of religion faith and racism would jeopardize the peaceful living condition of the people in our country. Such ingratitude and misconceive of religion Islam among the non-Muslims to understand the true Islam and to let them acknowledge that Islam is the religious of tolerance, peaceful and brotherhood in the living as Muslims umah.

Further, this is why in this blessed month Ramadhan as quoted by an Islamic scholar Dr.Abdul Fatah Ashoor of University Azhar stated that Iftar comes after observing the fasting whereas non-Muslims do not observe fasting in their religion. As to avoid or at least to slacken the conflict of racism in our multi-religious community, it is dully appropriate and utmost preferable to establish or conduct the Iftar together with the non-Muslims. Thus, it is the Islamic way of life, meaning to strengthen those relationship among the difference ethnic in multi-religious community in our peace loving country.

We, devout Muslims realized that Islam was not spread by force but it is spread by means of intermingling with non-Muslims of various races . In dealing with this multi-religion, I quote as an analogy to apprehend the concept of multi-religion and racism, we should take the example of the Sun that shines and melts the darkness in our everyday living that lead and give us peaceful and harmony way of living in a community of multi-religious Society.

Finally, in our every day of livelihood we are suppose to avoid the feeling of racism within our different religion in our multiracial community as we considered they are a peace loving citizen and abide by our legal Constitution. Hence, we should hider from bias, hypocrite, slanderous, suspicion of proselytizing of one's religion. As a peace loving nations living in harmony, we should avoid and condemn this sort of wrongdoings in our Society.

Allah SWT is All-Mighty and Most Merciful.

Deviation from Aqeedah nullified one's from religion Islam

Recently in this usual column, I wrote about the understanding of Aqeedah in respect of believe and actions, I would continue try to elaborate the similar subject matter of which I call upon Muslims to realize that deviation from the Aqeedah will obviously nullified and negate one's religion Islam. Let us again refer to one of the numerous verses in Al-Qur'an surah Al-Mu'minum mentionen below:

Surah Al-Mu'minum verse 57 and 58: (The Believers)

"Verily those who live in awe for fear of their Lord; and those who believe in the Ayat  [proofs, evidences, verses, lessons, signs, revelation, etc.] of their Lord."

From the above two brief verses prescribed clearly from Allah SWT in conformity with His revelation and evidences, that those Muslims who do accept and abide the true faith and do good deeds would be forgiven and heavenly rewarded but those who strayed against Allah SWT would be dragged into the Hell-fire. Those are the people disbelievers who do not at all have  the correct Aqeedah and deviate from it.

Further more, the deviation from the correct Aqeedah related to various causes from which Muslims should be aware off and consequently avoid the occurrence immediately. For the safeguard of Muslims from the deviation of the Aqeedah are mentioned below:

1)  Ignorance of the correct Aqeedah - Muslims who turn away from learning and teaching, lack of attention and contradict it as well as regarded to be falsehood and the falsehood to truth then they are recognized as Ignorance [Jaahiliyyah].

2)  Bigotry [Ttaa'ssub] towards their ancestors and adhering to even if it is false even it was the truth. They would follow what their fathers did without understanding anything nor did they got righteous guidance in their life.

3)  Blind - Follow ing [Taqleed by accepting people's statement in Aqeedah without knowing its proofs or level of authenticity, as is the of the Jahmiyyah, Mu'tazilah, Ash'aaris, Soofis and others whereby they blindly followed their scholars of deviation and thus, they were misguided and went astray from the correct belief.

4)  Extremism or Exaggeration [in honoring] the Awliyyaa' and Saaliheen [the righteous] and raisind them above their status where it is believed that they bring benefits and prevent harm, in a manner, which none have the ability except Allah SWT. Taking them as intermediaries between Allah SWT and His creation in fulfilling needs and answering the du'aa until the matter turns into their worship other then Allah SWT. In other words, seeking nearness to their tombs through sacrifice, vows, supplication, seeking aids and asking for help such as the grave-worshiping are absolutely forbidden in our religion Islam.

5)  Negligence in pondering over the universal and Qur'aanic Aayaat [proofs, evidences, revelation, etc.] of Allah SWT  fail to believe that the Grace of Allah SWT played a remarkable part in the life of the Muslims whereby they are overwhelmed by their own ability alone and dully forget their accomplishment,  endeavors and  attribute grace upon them by Allah SWT.

Finally, Muslims should ponder and look at the glory of SWT who create the universe and bestow upon the magnificent wonders and conform the ability to derive and utilize the benefits of the earth. Hence, we should establish da'awah [calls] for people and refute the misguidance of the deviant group of people in our religion Islam.

Meaning of Al-'Ibaadah (Worship of Allah SWT) in Religion Islam

In this usual column, I would like to highlight the basic meaning of Al-'Ibadaah that is faithfully and submission to Allah SWT which has a strong to link to the action of proper Aqeedah by the Muslim believe per see. The deviation of Aqeedah one's would be nullified from the religion Islam of which in Shariah is noted to have various true definition of the words of the 'Ibaadah especially in numerous surah in Al-Qur'an. Let us observe one of the chosen verse in Adh-Dhariyat as mentioned below:

Surah Adh-Dhariyat verse 58: (The wind that scatter)

"And I (Allah) created not the jinn, men and women except they should worship Me [Allah]. I seek not any provision [i.e provision for themselves or for my creatures] nor do I ask that they should Me [i.e feed themselves or my creatures]. Verily, Allah is the Allah Provider, Owner of Power, the Most Strong."

From the above verse of the surah Adh-Dhariyat stipulated that the wisdom behind creating the jinn and human being is that they establish His worship. So, he who does not worship Allah SWT is arrogant. Those Muslims who worship Allah SWT others with Him is Murshik that is one who associate partners with Allah SWT. Those are the people who worsip Him other then what He has legislated is an innovator but those who worship Him alone is a Muslimin that a Muslim believer who hold seadfast and establish Tawheed is a true Muslim believer.

Further more as according to Shariah, the meaning of Al-'Ibadaah is to worhip Allah SWT in conformity to what Allah SWT has ordained through His Messenger Prophet s.a.w. It is the utmost  submission with the true of Allah SWT. In other words, the true meaning of Al-'Ibaadah is that it is the comprehensive for everything that Allah SWT loved and pleased with the devoted Muslims faithfully abide by the rulings of the fundamental and principal of religion Islam.

Finally, submission or Al-'Ibaadah to Allah SWT is categorized as the worship of the mouth, tongue and limbs of the Muslims. This include fear, hope, love, reliance, desire reverence are the worship of the heart such as establish As-Solat, disburse and payment of Zakat, performing Al-Hajj and every other obligations as stated in the tenets and pillars of our religion of Islam.

Allah is All-Provider and Most Strong.

The Revelation of Al-Qur'an in the Blessed Month of Ramadhan.

In this ongoing month of Ramadhan, I have recently wrote about the obligation of Muslims Fasting (Saum) in this Blessed month of Ramadham. So, at this juncture I would continue to highlights why on Allah's SWT Mercy make the revelation of Al-Qur'an on this auspicious month of Ramadham. Let us observed the four narrated verses in surah Al-Baqarah mentioned below for our reflection:

Surah Al-Baqarah verses 2-5: (The Cow)

Verse 2 - "This is the Book (the Qur'an) whereof the is no doubt, a guidance to those who are Al-Muttaqun [the pious and righteous persons who fear Allah much [abstain from all kinds of sins and evil deeds which He has forbidden] and love Allah much [perform all kinds of good deeds which He has ordained]".

Verse 3 - "Who believe in the Ghaib and perform As-Salat [Iqamah as-Salat] and spend out of what we has provided for them [i.e give Zakat, spend on themselves, the parents, their children, their wives, etc., and also give charity to the poor and also in Allah's Cause - Jihah]".

Verse 4 - "And who believe in [the Qur'an and the Sunnah] which has been sent down [revealed] to you [Muhammad s.a.w] and in which were sent down before you [the Taurat [Torah] and the Injeel [Gospel], etc.] and they believe with certainty in the Hereafter. [Resurrection] recompense of the good and bad deeds, Paradise and Hell]."

Verse 5 - "They on [true] guidance from their Lord and they are successful."

As to the stipulated in the aforementioned verses in Al-Qur'an in surah Al-Baqarah, Al-Qur'an is the Guidance for the heedful who believe in the Unseen [Ghaib], obligation and keep the Prayer and spend from what Allah SWT provide with them. Those who believe in what Allah SWT sent down [reward] to us as well as to those before us because they are certain they would be judge during the Last Day. People who hold steadfastly the guidance from Allah SWT would achieve and attain success and heavenly rewarded in the Hereafter

From the other verse in surah Al-Waqiah, the Al-Qur'an is the Holy and Glorious Book, well guarded and none can touch except the purified Angels because the Al-Qur'an is exclusively the Book of Allah SWT. Muslims should steadfastly believe that the Al-Qur'an is verbally read by the Angel [Jibreel] - from Allah SWT to the Prophet s.a.w. In spite of the fact, the Holy Book is absolutely from Allah SWT sent down to our Prophet s.a.w through the Angel, commanded to recite, memorize and establish in our daily prayers [as-Solat].

For the goodness sake of the Muslims, in this blessed month of Ramadhan which we deeply confirm of its revelation and guidance of Muslims related to the clear teachings showing the Righteous Way, avoid and reject the falsehood perform by the Muslims to the Judgement of Allah SWT in the Hereafter.

As revealed in the Al-Qur'an, there are some criteria for the Muslims should abide by the ruling normally the correct and the righteous way of fasting as well as the timing of obligation to fast in the blessed month Ramadham.

Finally, as we look upon and observe from the aforementioned verses in the Al-Qur'an is solely for the guidance of the Muslim believers. It is the truth of the Al-Qur'an that is absolutely perfect and preserve as stipulated in the Al-Qur'an. Those Muslims are certain about the Last Day, would abide by the guidance from Allah SWT will be heavenly rewarded and successful in Last Judgement Day in the Hereafter.

The obligation of Fasting (Saum) in the month of Ramadhan

In my recent column, I wrote about how the Muslims are to achieve the highest rewards from Allah SWT Fasting [Saum] in this the blessed month of Ramadhan. As we are at the end of Syaaban 1433H forthwith in the two days time we are going to proceed with a similar blessing month of Ramadham which is to begin on the 1st.Ramadhan 1433H. Here, I opine that it is not to late to call upon the pious Muslims try to strive hard to attain the heavenly rewards as well as to seek forgiveness from Allah SWT in this coming Blessing month of RAMADHAN.

On this aspect of month of Ramadhan, there appeared numerous verses in Al-Qur'an, I would then try to refer to the only selected verses as mentioned below:

Surah Al-Baqarah verses 183 and 184: (The Cow)

Verse 183 - "O you who believe! Observing As-Saum [the fasting] is prescribed for you as it was prescribed for those before you, that you may become Al-Muttaqun [the pious]."

Verse 184 - "[Observing Saum [fast] for a fixed number of days, but if any of you is ill or on a journey, the number [should be made up] from other days. And for those who can fast with difficulty, [e.g a old man], they have [a choice either to fast or] to feed a Miskin [poor person] [for ever day]. But whoever does good of his own-accord, it is better for him. And that you fast is better for you if only you know."

From the above surah Al-Baqarah verse 183 stipulated that As-Saum [the fasting] is not only required to observe and perform by the present days Muslims but was commanded by Allah SWT in the era of other prophets [Roosols] in the olden days. The Islamic fasting is absolutely meant to control one's desires and prevent evil misdeeds who faithfully observe the fasting. In other words, it lead human's heart for Takwa, a word that denotes and encompasses every acts of goodness and learn the self-restraint in our religion Islam.

Further more, Ramadhan is a month of blessing in which Allah SWT sends down Mercy, decrease sins and answer prayers of the Muslim believers. Allah SWT boasts our good deeds to His angels while the unfortunates the poor and the needy will attain the Mercy of Allah SWT the Mighty and Exalted.

As prescribed in verse 184, fasting in Ramadhan is for a number of days either for 29 days or full month of 30 days. If anyone Muslim who is fasting fall ill or on a journey who is unable to observe the fast, he is to fast a similar number of days later. For those Muslim who could not endure on medical means, there is a ransom, that is he is to feed a poor person or needy for each missed days. It is better for him if only he understand the rational of fasting in this blessed month of Ramadhan.

To gather more inspired additional knowledge about this Holy month of Ramadham, I would like to highlight the need of obligation and Takwa as quoted by one of the Islamic Scholars in our country that is YB Datuk Seri Abdul Hadi Awang sir: "It is our duty to take advantage of the Ramadhan to train ourselves to be diligent and istiqamah worship and obedience to Allah SWT revealed in Al-Qur'an in this month as a guide to all people to provide the benefit to human life in this world and Hereafter as the humans will. Therefore, increasing devotion to God means benefit for themselves and the community in every way. Thus, selling are of our worship of the holy month of us close to God, selling more our Takwa Al-Qur'an, charity and forgiveness to God. May we be successful in the world and the Hereafter. So, this Holy month occasion we need to use the maximum positively to show our brotherhood and love them".

Finally, I conclude as for this Holy Ramadhan one's determination and intention [nyat] is to get close to Allah SWT in order to secure the Blessing and the Forgiveness undertaking the freedom from the Hellfire in the Last Day in Hereafter. Fasting is not just about abstaining from foods and drinks but are also commanded by Allah SWT to fast our tongue, eyes and our soul and minds not spared from listening to any forbidden things while observing one's fasting in this Blessed month Ramadham.

Allah SWT is Al-Mighty Most Merciful and Forgiveness.

Prerequisites of the Shahadtiayn ( Kalimah) to the Muslims

In my recent writing, I wrote about regarding the merit of Shahada [Kalimah] and now I would continue try to elaborate the same subject but about the prerequisites of Shahada required to the Muslims. Let us first refer to the Al-Qur'an surah Muhammad verse 19:

Surah Muhammad verse 19: (Prophet Muhammad s.a.w)

"So, know [O Muhammad s.a.w] that, La-illaha-illah none has the right to be worship but Allah] and ask forgiveness for your sin, and also for [the sin who of] believing man and woman, And Allah knows well your moving about and your place of rest [in your house]."

From the above verse, it is dully stipulated that those Muslim believers either man and woman who unconsciously committed the sins, Allah SWT will expiate and forgive their sins to those people who pronounce the SHAHADA would certainly be out of Fire of Hell while those other people being cast into it for failing short of observing this religious obligations.

The other aspect of the merit of Shahada is the statement who pronounce and at the same time who sincerely utter the words would be accepted and absolutely pleased by Allah SWT. Thus, the prerequisite of 'La ilaha illallaah' - is to abandon the worship of all other deities other than Allah SWT. In other words as we say in our testimony: "La ilaha" and worshiping Allah SWT alone as we say in our testimony, "illallah". The said testimony is a remarkable prerequisite as to affirm the 'Uloohiyyah' of the creation, the graves, tombs, trees and stones which are negated by Allah SWT. Those people will believe in 'Tawheed' who sincerely worship Allah SWT.

Further more the prerequisites of Shahada is to act upon the the sincere love of Allah SWT while shirk and other beside Him will negate and deviate the prerequisites of 'La-ilhae - illalaah'. In another aspect, those non-Muslim who desires to convert and have faith in the religion Islam, a non-Muslim convert is specified to declare a Shahadtiayn [ Declaration of Religion Islam - Kalimah] that to declare in their heart and soul that there is no God but Allah SWT and Prophet Muhammad s.a.w is the Messenger of Allah SWT. Then, they become a real converted Muslim in Islam.

Finally, as we look at the Sunnah Rasulullah the Prophet s.a.w once said: "You are going to encounter with people of the Book, so let the first thing you call them to proclaim the 'La-illa-illAllah' [There is no deity worthy of worship but of Allah]. Certainly any Muslims who utter and pronounce the words of 'kalimah' will come out of Fire of Hell and assured of Paradise as they faithfully observe the obligations of our religion Islam.

Understanding of Aqeedah (Belief) in religion Islam

In this usual column, I would like to refer to the Islamic scholar Shyakh Saalih Ibn Fauzan al-Fauzan in his writing in the Islamic way of Life regarding the 'Aqeedah at-Tawheed' that relates the Creed of Islamic Monotheism in our religion Islam. From therein knowledge I gather, the understanding of the 'Aqeedah' is an obligation and a priority in our religion and to those Muslims who deviate from it would absolutely nullified their religious Islam. Let us observe what the Al-Qur'an prescribed in surah Al-Kahf verse 110:

Surah Al-Kahf verse 110: (The Cave)

"Say (O Muhammad s.a.w): "I am only a man like you. It has been revealed to that your llah (God) is One llah (God) - i.e Allah). So whoever hopes for the Meeting with his Lord, let him work righteousness and associate none as a partner in the worship of his Lord."

From the above verse in Al-Qur'an in surah Al-Kahf is narrated that our Prophet s.a.w is just an ordinary human being but who has been specially sent down by Allah SWT to reveal and reaffirm that Allah SWT is the only One God where we are all going to meet Him in the Hereafter and later we all be judge of our good and evil deeds. The utmost important part is we have no other God we worship except Allah SWT alone. This is where Aqeedah ply a great part as regard to the worshiping of Him alone the only God Allah SWT.

Before we go any further we perceived that Aqeedah truly meant one to tie something firmly. In other words such as 'I tied my heart and mind to it', it is the Aqeedah is what a person takes as a religion and he has a good 'Aqeedah' meaning, 'protected from doubts'. So, Aqeedah is an action of the heart, which is to believe and affirm something in the heart.

Further, the true meaning of Aqeedah in Shariah is the believe in Allah SWT, His Angels, His Books, His Messenger, the Last and Judgement Day and believe in al-Qadar {Predestination] - its good and evil. They are called the Pillars of Faith [Eemaan]. Aqeedah is actually divided into two part that is 'Belief and Action'. As the factor of belief is closely related to action. Belief is in the Ruboobiyah [Lordship] of Allah SWT as an obligation to worship Him alone and the beliefs of all the rest of the aforementioned Pillars of Faith. They are the fundemental and principal of our religion Islam.

As in the second issue is the factor of Action is dully coordinated to Belief on the basis how the actions are perform. This is vital in view of the principal of Islamic tenets for instance the obligation of performing daily Solat, disbursing and pay of Zakat [Charity] and Sawn [Fasting] and also other rulings with regard to the believe and action and hold steadfastly to our religion Islam. These are termed as Far'iyyah [the branches] because it is based upon beliefs and devotion in the propagation of religion Islam.

Finally, I conclude that the worship of Allah SWT done by performing religious deeds sincerely for the cause of Allah's SWT sake. Surely, the religion Islam is the worship none other then Allah SWT alone and He has no partnership at all.

Sincere and Faithfully Obedient is for Allah SWT alone.

Sincere Repentance by Muslims Forgiven by Allah SWT

Adapted from the Al-Qur'an surah Al-Tahrim verse 8, I would like to pen down concerning the sincere Repentance by Muslims that would be forgiven by Allah SWT. This is similar to the concept of sincerity in the performing of the prayer but accorded different benefit by Allah SWT. This means that Muslims should also have sincerity in one's repentance and to hate the sin and seek immediate forgiveness for it every time it occurs to one. Let us then observe the Al-Qur'an Al-Tahrim verse 8 that prescribed the matter of sincere repentance needed by Muslims to be qualified and accepted forgiven by Allah SWT below:

Surah Al-Tahrim verse 8: [The {Prohibition]

"O you who believe! Turn to Allah with sincere repentance! It may that your Lord will expiate from you your sins, and admit you into Gardens under which rivers flow [Paradise] - the Day that Allah will not disgrace the Prophet [Muhammad s.a.w] and those who believe with him. Their Light will run forward before them and [with their Records - Books of deeds] in their right hands. They will say: "Our Lord! Keep perfect our Light for us [and do not put it off till we cross over the Sira't [a slippery bridge over the Hell] safely] and grant us forgiveness. Verily, You are Able to do all things."

From the above aforementioned verse, we are commanded to turn to Allah SWT in sincere repentance. It would be then Allah SWT will release from us our sins and surely will admit us into Gardens beneath which the rivers flow as it is known as a Paradise or Heaven. On that particular day Allah SWT will not humiliate the Prophet s.a.w and are those who believe with him. The Lights in the Heaven will shine on them and they supplicate and would say: "Our Rabb! Perfect our Lights on us and given us forgiveness, for You have power over all things." And the Prophet s.a.w once said: "Those who repents from sins is like the one who never sinned."

To go further regarding the real concept of the sincere repentance to those who desire going back to undertake to do the sins, one should has the determination not to return to repent the sins in exaltation of Allah SWT is out of fear of His punishment.

If ever the Muslims who have the sincere repentance met, then those who expect to anticipate one's sins to be forgiven, however one to be careful about how sincere one fulfilling one's condition. It is absolutely reminded to seek forgiveness a lot and to repeat every time the sins come to one's mind.

The conditions for repentance are mentioned below:

1] Learning the sin
2] Resolve not to return to the sin
3] Remorse over being committed the sin
4] Return to Allah SWT for forgiveness

Finally, the above criteria of feeling remorse and guilt are the natural reflection of sinning, if ever a person who has sinned has self-conscious which is a sin who fear Allah SWT and seek repent from Him, Allah SWT will forgive his sins.

Muslims should avoid HYPOCRISY in Religion Islam

In this column, I would try to highlight in the context point of views of HYPOCRISY in our religion Islam. As I found out that some Muslims have the misconception to understand the related words of hypocrisy in their every day life in the Islamic community at large. From my gathered knowledge, it is well noted that there are two types of hypocrisy, namely the 'Hypocrisy in Believe' and in the second is 'Hypocrisy in Deeds and Actions'. Whatsoever we would try to refer to some of the verses in surah Al-Baqarah as mentioned below:

Surah Al-Baqarah verses 8-12: (The Cow)

Verse 8: - "Of the people there are some who say: "We believe in God and the Last Day, "but they do not believe."

Verse 9: - "Fain would they deceive God and those who believe, but the only deceive themselves, and realize [it] not."

Verse 10: - "In their hearts is a disease, and God has increase their disease, and grievous in the penalty they [incur], because the are false [to themselves]."

Verse 11: - "When it is to them: "Make not mischief on the earth, they say: "Why, we only want to make peace!."

Verse 12: - "Of a surety, they are the ones who make mischief, but they realize [it] not."

As stipulated in the aforementioned verses in surah Al-Baqarah the understanding of Hypocrisy in our religion Islam is that some of the Muslim unbelievers totally refuse to believe in God in the Last Day. In other words, they obviously deceive themselves by saying that they believe in God in the Last Day. In spite of the facts in their hearts there appear diseases they incur and they will receive punishments in the Afterlife. They are told several times to avoided hypocrisy and mischief in day today living, instead they are so arrogant and would fool themselves that they want to make peace and good deeds among the fellow Muslims. But for sure, They are false and consequently they continue to do mischief although they vehemently deny it. They actually regarded that the practice hypocrisy is norm in their way of life in this world. So, they would not at all fear the wrath of Allah SWT.

The two types of Hypocrisy are mentioned below:

(A) Hypocrisy in Believe:

1] To believe the Messenger of Allah SWT [Prophet Muhammad s.a.w]
2] To believe some of all that were brought by the Messenger of Allah SWT [e.g the Al-Qur'an and Sunnah Rasulullah and the Principal of Islam]
3] To hate the Messenger of Allah SWT
4] To hate some of which were brought by the Messenger of Allah SWT [e.g Islamic Monotheism]
5] To feel happy at the disgrace of the setback for the religion of Allah SWT Messenger
6] To dislike the religion of Allah SWT Messenger, [e.g Islamic Monotheism becomes victorious, not being pleased at the victory of Islam]

(B) Hypocrisy in Deeds and Actions:

1) Whenever he speaks, he tells a lie
2] Whenever he promises, he always breaks it [his promise]
3] If you trust him, he proves to be dishonest [if you keep something as with him, he will not return it]
4] In another narration of the Prophet s.a.w: "Whenever he quarrels, he behaves in a imprudent evil and insulting manner
5] Whenever he makes a covenant, he proves himself treacherous.

Muslims who performs the above mentioned hypocrisy whatsoever in belief or deeds and actions in the nature of mischief or evil-deeds would obviously be thrown in the lowest depth [grade] of Fire of the Hell in the Hereafter. This is cited in surah An-Nisa verse 145:

"Verily, the hypocrites will be in the lowest depth who [grade] of the Fire, no helper will find for them."

Finally, I conclude and considered those are the Muslim unbelievers who do not fear the wrath and admonition of Allah SWT and totally discredit His Guidance and Prophet s.a.w. They are the ones are at a loss of true direction for they should realize and firmly believe that Allah SWT is All-Mighty and has Power over all things in this world and the unbelievers would surely be Judged in the Last Day whether they would be heavenly rewarded or thrown in Hell in the Hereafter. So, Muslims should be aware and hold steadfastly try to avoid hypocrisy and never be such hypocrites in their daily day today living.

Hypocrisy is the wrath of Allah SWT

LIFE in this WORLD is an illusion GREEDY for POWER and WEALTH

Elaborating in this usual column, I would try to highlight why seldom some people over-looked that the life in this world is really an illusion whereby there surfaced those who are greedy and purportedly craved for power and wealth. Let us ponder for a while and refer to one of the Hadith Rasulluallah and Al-Qur'an surah Al-Hadid verse 20 under-mentioned below:

From the Hadith as reported by Ibn Abbas, he heard the holy Prophet s.a.w saying:

"Even if there were for a man two valleys full of wealth he would aspire for a third one, and nothing could fill man a belly but dust and Allah turns to him who turns to Allah."

The above aforementioned saying of our Prophet s.a.w reminded us that the people are ungrateful to Allah SWT and totally reject Allah's SWT Blessing bestowed upon them. This is reflected that they are greedy for wealth and power, ultimately it is an illusion as to hoard more wealth as possible to their dire satisfaction and lust in this in this world.

Following with another similar aspect in Al-Qur'an in surah Al-Hadid verse 20 relates almost the same evidence of greed for power and wealth by those seemingly ungrateful people mentioned in a verse below:

Surah Al-Hadid verse 20: (Iron)

"Know that the life of this world is only ply and amusement, pomp and mutual boasting among you, and rivalry in respect of wealth and children. [It is] as the likeness of vegetation after rain, thereof the growth is pleasing to the tiller, afterwards it dries up and see it turning yellow, then it becomes straw. But in the Hereafter [there is] a severe torment [for the disbelievers - evil-doers], and [there is] Forgiveness from Allah and [His] Good Pleasure [for the believers - good doers], And the life of this world is only deceiving enjoyment."

From the above verse of surah Al-Hadid we should realize and hold steadfastly believe that the actual life of this world is only a ply and amusement whereby people are crazy and quest for greater richness and power. In this respect they are arrogant and create enmity among themselves. Their struggle for authoritarian power and hoarding of people's wealth is sinful and will lead and drag them to hell in the Hereafter.

As analogue and as prescribe in the verse the vegetation that flourish after rain, it becomes the delight of peasant and some later days unfortunately it withers and become dry and crumble away like straws and grasses. So in the Hereafter, there would be either severe punishment or forgiveness from Allah SWT at His good pleasure. That the life in this world is nothing but an illusion. Therefore, every sinful and misdeeds, Muslims should immediately seek forgiveness of Allah SWT and absolutely believe that Paradise is vast and is not comparable with our living in this world.

Muslims who truly believe in Allah SWT and the Rosools, such is the grace of Him that bestow upon whom He pleased. On the Day of Judgement Allah SWT scent a person's life on how the wealth he had spent and utilized and so do his knowledge to what he used. Should his deeds were not done all for the cause Allah SWT he is sinful and would receive punishment and torment in the Hereafter. So, Muslims be warned and reminded of the consequence of their misdeeds in their life living in this world.

Finally, what is the benefit the purpose of acquiring the honour of power and richness whether they are forbidden and permissible. As quoted by one of the journalists:

"Only bad people are mad or greedy for power and wealth."

Allah is the Owner of Mighty Grace.

Admonition in surah ISRA and MIRAJ - Divine Laws and Guidance to Muslims

A couple of week ago, some Muslims had commemorating Isra' and Mi'raj on 17th Rejab which will follow the month Shaba'an and later the month of Ramadam, the Holy Month of Fasting by the Muslims all over the Muslims countries in the world. Besides the holy month of Ramadam, Muslims this days seemingly lack of some knowledge regarding the Isra' and Mi'raj which has been ordained by Allah SWT in which occasion He has conferred a major issue, divine laws and guidance to all Muslims at large. It is in this vital occasion of Isra' and Mi'raj [Ascension] during the last period of the Prophet's residence in Makkah. Allah SWT took our Prophet s.a.w on a tour of the universe.

For our devotion and knowledge, reminder and guidance, it is a blessing to mention the following major issues, divine laws and guidance during our Prophet ascension to meet Allah SWT:

Major Issues, Divine Laws and Guidance:

1) Isra' and Mi'raj [Allah gave the Prophet a tour of the universe]
2) Divine Commandments:
2.1 Worship none but Allah
2.2 Be kind and obedient to parents
2.3 Give to the relatives and the needy
2.4 Do not be miser and spendthrift
2.5 Do not kill your children for fear of poverty
2.6 Do not commit Adultery
2.7 Do not slay without just cause
2.8 Do not do anything without knowledge
2.9 Do not walk arrogantly on earth
2.10 Safe guard the property of the orphan
3) Allah does not beget children and those who say this, utter a monstrous lie
4) There is surely life after death
5) The obligation of Five Days Prayer and prayer of Tahajjud [special late night prayer]
6) Human Rasools are sent to human beings
7) Perform solah in a voice which is neither too laud or too soft.

Finally, I conclude of my findings that the aforementioned lessons and guidance, Muslims are obviously commanded to undertake the last opportunity to abide and reminder of our Prophet s.a.w prior and after his Ascension [Isra' and Mi'raj]. This is the reason for not sending the Signs to him as never sent prior other prophets. The above divine laws and guidance were actually revealed one year before Hijrah [migration to Madinah] on the occasion of the Mi'raj [Ascension] during the last period of the Prophet s.a.w residence in Makkah.

Obey Allah SWT meant Obey His Messenger.

Emulate Prophet's Muhammad s.a.w Moral and Exemplary Character through out his lives and after his final death.

In my recent column I have tried to compile and delve about the vital Farewell Message of our Prophet s.a.w to all Muslims especially to the Pilgrims at Mount 'Arafat. I believe and would assume he has attended his last Hajj Pilgrimage and has the importance link to his exemplary character for Muslims to emulate and guidance in our every days lives accordingly to our specified religion Islam as ordained by Allah SWT. Let us then refer to one of the numerous verses of Al-Qur'an as stipulated in surah Al-Jumuah nerse 2:

Surah Al-Jumuah verse 2: (Friday)

"He it is Who sent among the unlettered ones a Messenger [Muhammad s.a.w] from among themselves, revealing the His Verses, purifying them [from the filth of the disbelief and polytheism], and teaching the Book [this Qur'an, Islamic laws and Islamic Jurisprudence] and Al-Hikmah [As-Sunnah, legal ways, orders, acts of worship of Prophet Muhammad s.a.w. And verily, they had been before in manifest error."

From the above surah al-Jumuah verse 2, our Prophet s.a.w possess Leadership and Morality and exemplary character as a Messenger of Allah who never neglect to proclaim and recite verses of Al-Qur'an to the Muslim believers. With his teaching and guidance, he is able to purify the faith and obedience of the Muslims. He discharge his duties for the sake of Allah SWT. One of these is the Islamic Laws [Jurisprudence] some advise and guidelines and he also invoke to the Muslims and non-Muslim believers as well. Thus, his moral and exemplary character should be followed and emulated by Muslims and non-Muslim alike as according to the specified Sunnah Rasullullah.

As for the Muslim themselves, should obviously strive hard to emulate the Prophet's s.a.w exemplary characters. He is truly a modal protector both for his family and Muslims as a whole. That is why with his smiling face, joyful, countenance, considerate and affection for the faithful is the integral example of proper mentality and ideal model of humanity. He is always patient in the face of extreme and illogical behaviour from the strangers. The would sometimes grow angry and would calm them by saying:

"Guide them if you see anyone like that."

As for a Muslim himself, he should strive to follow and faithfully emulate the example of Prophet's wives for instant they are regarded as the mothers of the Muslim believers and a model of the Muslim's women. There is a considerable amount of information about the behaviours of faith of the Prophet's wives. They cared for him, the wisdom and excellent morality of him. These are prescribed in Al-Qur'an and reported in numerous Hadith Saheeh, the account of the life of our Prophet s.a.w.

Furthermore, we obliged to refer to 'Aishah [May Allah be pleased with her] was asked to describe about the character of Prophet s.a.w, she answered:

"His character was that of Al-Qur'an."

In other words, the Prophet s.a.w possess is the best ideal and value of Al-Qur'an. So, we Muslims should never not to follow the Hadith which would guide us the precious ways in which the Prophet's s.a.w examples from the Al-Qur'an's ideals. The undermentioned extract are summarize the exemplary life of the Prophet s.a.w:

1) His smiling face and kind treatment of everyone made him literally a father of the people. Everyone is equal in his sight.
2) He was cheerful, gentle and mild.
3) He was the softest and most kind to the people.
4) The Prophet s.a.w has directed his Companions to smile and said:

"Don't entertain to the people with your wealth but entertain them with smiling face with good conduct."
"Allah SWT knows the simple to those having smiling countenance."

Finally, Prophet s.a.w is indeed a Messenger of Allah and absolutely posses good example character whereby Muslims to follow and should strive to hold steadfastly so as to attain heavenly rewards during the Last Day in the Hereafter.

Obey His Messenger meant Obey Allah SWT.

The Farewell Pilgrimage Hajj - tu - Widah to Muslim Pilgrims

Adapted from the text, the Meaning of AL-Qur'an [The Guidance for Mankind] I would compile and write down in this column the greatest and honorable Pilgrimage of Farewell Message of our Prophet Muhammad s.a.w addressed to the Pilgrims at Mount 'Arafat. In his message, our Prophet s.a.w reminded us of the duties Islam enjoined upon us and that we would one day have to meet Allah SWT and would judge each of us accordingly to our good and evil deeds on this earth. Let us observe an extract of the address mentioned below:

"... I declare this truth that there is no god except Allah and I declare the truth that Muhammad is His servant and His messenger..."

O servants of Allah, I advise you to worship Him and I promise you to do so.

O People! Listen to me carefully as I speak clearly, for I do not think I will have the opportunity to meet you here after this year.

O People! Your blood and your property have been sanctified to one another ... just this month, this year, this day in this city are sanctified.

Beware that I have conveyed the word to you. O Allah! Be my Witness!

So whoever has anything in trust should return to its owner.

Amount of usury of the days of ignorance are remitted and first of I remit the claims of usury of my uncle 'Abas bin Abdul Muttalib...
Beware that I have conveyed the word, O Allah! Be my Witness!

O People! Your women have been given some right to respect of them.
It is incumbent on them to let no one enter their sleeping chambers except you do and do not let any one enter into your house whose entry is not liked by you. And they should commit any adultery .....

I am leaving two things, as long as you follow them, you will never go astray, and those are the Book of Allah [The Qur'an] and my Sunnah [What I said and what I did].

Beware that I have conveyed the word of Allah. O Allah! Be my Witness!

O People! Your God is one, and your ancestor is also one. You are all the progeny of Adam who was created from dust. The most respected before Allah amongst you is one who is most Godfearing. No Arab has preference over non-Arab over an Arab. Preference if any is on the basis of 'who fear Allah the most' ...

Those who are present here should convey these words to those who are absent. Possibly those who absent may remember and observe these things more carefully than those present.

O People! Allah has assigned a specific share of inheritance to each heir. To will more than one-third of one's property is not permitted.

The child belongs to one on whose bed [marriage] it is born, and the adultery shall be stoned."

Finally, from the last Farewell Message from our Prophet Muhammad s.a.w, compel and reminded us as Muslims to obey all the duties Islam enjoined upon us and would one day meet Allah SWT in the Hereafter. The above extract Farewell Message is the last saying of our Prophet s.a.w:

"The day I have perfected your religion for you, completed My Favors upon you and have chosen Al-Islam as "The Way of Life for you".

Allah is All-Seer, Off-Forgiveness and Most Forbearing.

LIFE and DEATH is absolutely from ALLAH SWT

Adapted from the article by Faroog-i-Azam Malik, the meaning of Al-Qur'an for the guidance of Mankind, I would add my brief opinions and a retrospective study of the writing for the reminder of the Muslims that life and death is absolutely in the Hand of Allah SWT. In my recent two articles I wrote about the Al-Qadar that literary means the Predestination and Life cannot be postponed which are stipulated in one of the Al-Quran and Surah Al-Qamar verse 49 below:

Surah Al-Qaamar verse 49:

"Divine Preordain of all before the creation as written in the Book of Decree Ah-Lauth Al-Mahfuz."

From the above verse we should believe that Life and Death is absolutely from Allah SWT.

Let us observe and make a close reflection from another surah Al-Imran verse 156 to 158 below:

Surah Al-Imran verses 156 to 158:  (The Family of Imran)

Verse 156 - "O you who believe! Be not like those who disbelieve [hypocrites] and who say to their brethren when they travel trough the earth or go to fight. If they have stayed with us, they would not have died or been killed, so that Allah may make it a cause of regret in their hearts. It is Allah that gives life and causes death. And Allah is All-Seer of what you do."

Verse 157:- "And if you are killed or die in the Way of Allah, forgiveness and mercy from Allah are far better they all that they amass [of worldly wealth]".

Verse 158: - "And whether you die, or are killed, verily, unto Allah you shall be gathered."

Those three verses from the Al-Qur'an surah Al-Imran are vividly related to those Muslims have to sustain death in their life whether they go for the holy war or not, so life and death is absolutely in the Hand of Allah SWT. Even though, the disbelievers warned the Muslim believers, if only they stayed with them, they would not been killed or died in such a holy war. They would never regret should they understand and believe that only Allah SWT can give life and cause death to all human being. Allah SWT has enjoined that Muslims who were killed and died for the cause of Allah SWT, forgiveness and mercy would be accorded to them and ultimately heavenly reward would be given to them in the Hereafter. This will go far better than all the riches and wealth they have gathered in the world.

There are two reasons relating to the life and death:

[1] There is no escape from death.
[2] Those who are killed in the path of Allah SWT are not dead but alive.

Finally, that remind us all the Muslims whether died or been killed, and all of us will be brought for the Judgement before Allah SWT during the Last Day in the Hereafter.

Allah is All-Seer, Off-Forgiveness and Most Forbearing.

Allah's Blessing bestow upon Muslims with His Grace and Mercy

Elaborating in this column, I would like to highlight why people seldom reject Allah's Blessing who bestow upon them with His Grace and Mercy. Let us ponder for a while why such people seem not to accept Allah's Blessing. In this connection, before we refer to the verses in Al-Qur'an, we look at the historical heritage what was happening during the Rasool's era who totally reject Allah's Blessing bestowed upon them. This historical episode surfaced in the small town of Yamen. As for our guidance, let us refer to the two verses in Al-Qur'an surah Saba verse 15 and An-Nahl verse 18. As a guidance and example in the first surah of Saba verse 15 and followed surah An-Nahl verse 18 for the observation and guide-line for the right thinking people of Allah's Blessing bestowed upon the mankind.

Surah Saba verse 15: [Saba]

"Indeed there was for Saba [Sheba] a sign in their dwelling place - two gardens on the right hand and on the left, [and it was said to them] "Eat of the provision of your Lord and grateful to Him." A fair land and an Off-Forgiving Lord!

This surah in Al-Quran verse 15 related the true happening in the historical episode of the people of Saba, presently a town in Yamen who reject Allah's Blessing bestowed upon them. Allah SWT blessed their dwelling which He told to enjoy living luxuriously in the two gardens that Allah SWT has bestow upon them. In spite of the fact, they should thank Allah SWT but instead they purportedly did not heed and disobey Allah's SWT Blessing. Without warning, Allah SWT then converted the two gardens with gardens producing bitter fruits, tamarisks and a few lote bushes. Although Allah SWT did not punish them but they were ungrateful, Allah SWT replace their town and their journey insecurity because they were ungrateful, Allah SWT punished and dispersed them in scattered fragments.

So, Muslims should be reminded and learned the consequent of the sad episode as regard of the people's disobedient and ungrateful to Allah's SWT Blessing because He is watching over all things on this earth. As it is actually occurred and befallen upon the people of Syria and Palestine in the past, let us then refer to another surah An-Nahl verse 18:

Surah An-Nahl verse 18 (The Bees)

"And if you would count the favours of Allah, never could be able to count them. Trully! Allah is Off-Forgiving, Most Merciful."

The verse 18 therein surah An-Nahl prescribe that it is impossible to count the number of favours Allah SWT has bestowed on us. From the religious points of view, we should know that the favours of Allah SWT can be of a material, spiritual and moral nature. The material blessings of Allah SWT the bestowed and are given to all creatures out of compassion. So Allah SWT knows what we conceal and what we reveal.

Take for example the relatively simple action of breathing which we take them of thousand times a day with a non-stop breathing in order to survive. And this integral action bestowed upon us with relative comfort our soul with freedom and no cost. This is definitely the example of the blessings of Allah SWT bestowed upon us.

We should have the ability to think clearly that Allah SWT tremendous and countless favours and blessings He has offered to us during our life time. He is the embodiment of wealth and we are regarded as destitute and Allah SWT is the Possessor of everything. So, in our life we are in dire need of Him because He is so Generous that whether we show gratitude to Him or not. Allah SWT still bestow upon us and yet we find there are some short-sighted people who believe the blessings of Him are the result of his hard work he achieve himself.

Material blessing are bestowed to all Muslims as well as the non-Muslims alike. There are some people use their material aquisition for good or other evil things. But those who are guided and understanding of disbursing their wealth for good deeds will ultimately gain tremendous benefits and trully blessed by Allah SWT and would receive heavenly reward in the Hereafter.

Finally, Let us observe and quote the other surah An-Nahl verse 96 whereby Allah SWT said: "What is with you, must vanish. And will and certainly bestow on those who patiently preserve the rewards to the best of the action,

Blessing of Allah out of Grace and Mercy.
