To avoid or slacken the conflict of Racism by establishing or conducting IFTAR among the non-Muslims in the month of Ramadhan.

In this ongoing the blessed month of Ramadhan, I would try to write and suggest the idea of establishing the IFTAR [The breaking of Fast] among the non-Muslims as how to avoid the controversial episode of conflict among our multi-racial and multi- religious community this days. To be a devout Muslims, we should call upon other Muslim brothers to avoid or slacken the conflicts in a manner of Islamic way of life that is to establish or conduct the Iftar among the Muslims and non-Muslims in this auspicious blessed month of Ramadhan. Let us observe and try to refer to the two verses in Al-Qur'an surah Al-Mumtahanah verses 8 and 9 mentioned below:

Surah Al-Mumtahanah verses 8 and 9: (The women to be examined)

Verse 8 - "Allah does forbid you to deal justly and kindly with who fought not against you on account of religious nor drove you out of your homes. Verily, Allah loves those who deal with equity."

Verse 9 - "It is only as regards those who fought against you on account of religious, and have driven you out of your homes, and helped to drive you out, that Allah forbids you to befriend them. And whoever will be befriend them, then such are the Zalimun [wrongdoers - those who disobey Allah."

From the above those two verses surah Al-Mumtahanah, no doubt any acts of wrong-doing among the Muslims especially the unjustifiable and conflict of religion faith and racism would jeopardize the peaceful living condition of the people in our country. Such ingratitude and misconceive of religion Islam among the non-Muslims to understand the true Islam and to let them acknowledge that Islam is the religious of tolerance, peaceful and brotherhood in the living as Muslims umah.

Further, this is why in this blessed month Ramadhan as quoted by an Islamic scholar Dr.Abdul Fatah Ashoor of University Azhar stated that Iftar comes after observing the fasting whereas non-Muslims do not observe fasting in their religion. As to avoid or at least to slacken the conflict of racism in our multi-religious community, it is dully appropriate and utmost preferable to establish or conduct the Iftar together with the non-Muslims. Thus, it is the Islamic way of life, meaning to strengthen those relationship among the difference ethnic in multi-religious community in our peace loving country.

We, devout Muslims realized that Islam was not spread by force but it is spread by means of intermingling with non-Muslims of various races . In dealing with this multi-religion, I quote as an analogy to apprehend the concept of multi-religion and racism, we should take the example of the Sun that shines and melts the darkness in our everyday living that lead and give us peaceful and harmony way of living in a community of multi-religious Society.

Finally, in our every day of livelihood we are suppose to avoid the feeling of racism within our different religion in our multiracial community as we considered they are a peace loving citizen and abide by our legal Constitution. Hence, we should hider from bias, hypocrite, slanderous, suspicion of proselytizing of one's religion. As a peace loving nations living in harmony, we should avoid and condemn this sort of wrongdoings in our Society.

Allah SWT is All-Mighty and Most Merciful.

Deviation from Aqeedah nullified one's from religion Islam

Recently in this usual column, I wrote about the understanding of Aqeedah in respect of believe and actions, I would continue try to elaborate the similar subject matter of which I call upon Muslims to realize that deviation from the Aqeedah will obviously nullified and negate one's religion Islam. Let us again refer to one of the numerous verses in Al-Qur'an surah Al-Mu'minum mentionen below:

Surah Al-Mu'minum verse 57 and 58: (The Believers)

"Verily those who live in awe for fear of their Lord; and those who believe in the Ayat  [proofs, evidences, verses, lessons, signs, revelation, etc.] of their Lord."

From the above two brief verses prescribed clearly from Allah SWT in conformity with His revelation and evidences, that those Muslims who do accept and abide the true faith and do good deeds would be forgiven and heavenly rewarded but those who strayed against Allah SWT would be dragged into the Hell-fire. Those are the people disbelievers who do not at all have  the correct Aqeedah and deviate from it.

Further more, the deviation from the correct Aqeedah related to various causes from which Muslims should be aware off and consequently avoid the occurrence immediately. For the safeguard of Muslims from the deviation of the Aqeedah are mentioned below:

1)  Ignorance of the correct Aqeedah - Muslims who turn away from learning and teaching, lack of attention and contradict it as well as regarded to be falsehood and the falsehood to truth then they are recognized as Ignorance [Jaahiliyyah].

2)  Bigotry [Ttaa'ssub] towards their ancestors and adhering to even if it is false even it was the truth. They would follow what their fathers did without understanding anything nor did they got righteous guidance in their life.

3)  Blind - Follow ing [Taqleed by accepting people's statement in Aqeedah without knowing its proofs or level of authenticity, as is the of the Jahmiyyah, Mu'tazilah, Ash'aaris, Soofis and others whereby they blindly followed their scholars of deviation and thus, they were misguided and went astray from the correct belief.

4)  Extremism or Exaggeration [in honoring] the Awliyyaa' and Saaliheen [the righteous] and raisind them above their status where it is believed that they bring benefits and prevent harm, in a manner, which none have the ability except Allah SWT. Taking them as intermediaries between Allah SWT and His creation in fulfilling needs and answering the du'aa until the matter turns into their worship other then Allah SWT. In other words, seeking nearness to their tombs through sacrifice, vows, supplication, seeking aids and asking for help such as the grave-worshiping are absolutely forbidden in our religion Islam.

5)  Negligence in pondering over the universal and Qur'aanic Aayaat [proofs, evidences, revelation, etc.] of Allah SWT  fail to believe that the Grace of Allah SWT played a remarkable part in the life of the Muslims whereby they are overwhelmed by their own ability alone and dully forget their accomplishment,  endeavors and  attribute grace upon them by Allah SWT.

Finally, Muslims should ponder and look at the glory of SWT who create the universe and bestow upon the magnificent wonders and conform the ability to derive and utilize the benefits of the earth. Hence, we should establish da'awah [calls] for people and refute the misguidance of the deviant group of people in our religion Islam.

Meaning of Al-'Ibaadah (Worship of Allah SWT) in Religion Islam

In this usual column, I would like to highlight the basic meaning of Al-'Ibadaah that is faithfully and submission to Allah SWT which has a strong to link to the action of proper Aqeedah by the Muslim believe per see. The deviation of Aqeedah one's would be nullified from the religion Islam of which in Shariah is noted to have various true definition of the words of the 'Ibaadah especially in numerous surah in Al-Qur'an. Let us observe one of the chosen verse in Adh-Dhariyat as mentioned below:

Surah Adh-Dhariyat verse 58: (The wind that scatter)

"And I (Allah) created not the jinn, men and women except they should worship Me [Allah]. I seek not any provision [i.e provision for themselves or for my creatures] nor do I ask that they should Me [i.e feed themselves or my creatures]. Verily, Allah is the Allah Provider, Owner of Power, the Most Strong."

From the above verse of the surah Adh-Dhariyat stipulated that the wisdom behind creating the jinn and human being is that they establish His worship. So, he who does not worship Allah SWT is arrogant. Those Muslims who worship Allah SWT others with Him is Murshik that is one who associate partners with Allah SWT. Those are the people who worsip Him other then what He has legislated is an innovator but those who worship Him alone is a Muslimin that a Muslim believer who hold seadfast and establish Tawheed is a true Muslim believer.

Further more as according to Shariah, the meaning of Al-'Ibadaah is to worhip Allah SWT in conformity to what Allah SWT has ordained through His Messenger Prophet s.a.w. It is the utmost  submission with the true of Allah SWT. In other words, the true meaning of Al-'Ibaadah is that it is the comprehensive for everything that Allah SWT loved and pleased with the devoted Muslims faithfully abide by the rulings of the fundamental and principal of religion Islam.

Finally, submission or Al-'Ibaadah to Allah SWT is categorized as the worship of the mouth, tongue and limbs of the Muslims. This include fear, hope, love, reliance, desire reverence are the worship of the heart such as establish As-Solat, disburse and payment of Zakat, performing Al-Hajj and every other obligations as stated in the tenets and pillars of our religion of Islam.

Allah is All-Provider and Most Strong.

The Revelation of Al-Qur'an in the Blessed Month of Ramadhan.

In this ongoing month of Ramadhan, I have recently wrote about the obligation of Muslims Fasting (Saum) in this Blessed month of Ramadham. So, at this juncture I would continue to highlights why on Allah's SWT Mercy make the revelation of Al-Qur'an on this auspicious month of Ramadham. Let us observed the four narrated verses in surah Al-Baqarah mentioned below for our reflection:

Surah Al-Baqarah verses 2-5: (The Cow)

Verse 2 - "This is the Book (the Qur'an) whereof the is no doubt, a guidance to those who are Al-Muttaqun [the pious and righteous persons who fear Allah much [abstain from all kinds of sins and evil deeds which He has forbidden] and love Allah much [perform all kinds of good deeds which He has ordained]".

Verse 3 - "Who believe in the Ghaib and perform As-Salat [Iqamah as-Salat] and spend out of what we has provided for them [i.e give Zakat, spend on themselves, the parents, their children, their wives, etc., and also give charity to the poor and also in Allah's Cause - Jihah]".

Verse 4 - "And who believe in [the Qur'an and the Sunnah] which has been sent down [revealed] to you [Muhammad s.a.w] and in which were sent down before you [the Taurat [Torah] and the Injeel [Gospel], etc.] and they believe with certainty in the Hereafter. [Resurrection] recompense of the good and bad deeds, Paradise and Hell]."

Verse 5 - "They on [true] guidance from their Lord and they are successful."

As to the stipulated in the aforementioned verses in Al-Qur'an in surah Al-Baqarah, Al-Qur'an is the Guidance for the heedful who believe in the Unseen [Ghaib], obligation and keep the Prayer and spend from what Allah SWT provide with them. Those who believe in what Allah SWT sent down [reward] to us as well as to those before us because they are certain they would be judge during the Last Day. People who hold steadfastly the guidance from Allah SWT would achieve and attain success and heavenly rewarded in the Hereafter

From the other verse in surah Al-Waqiah, the Al-Qur'an is the Holy and Glorious Book, well guarded and none can touch except the purified Angels because the Al-Qur'an is exclusively the Book of Allah SWT. Muslims should steadfastly believe that the Al-Qur'an is verbally read by the Angel [Jibreel] - from Allah SWT to the Prophet s.a.w. In spite of the fact, the Holy Book is absolutely from Allah SWT sent down to our Prophet s.a.w through the Angel, commanded to recite, memorize and establish in our daily prayers [as-Solat].

For the goodness sake of the Muslims, in this blessed month of Ramadhan which we deeply confirm of its revelation and guidance of Muslims related to the clear teachings showing the Righteous Way, avoid and reject the falsehood perform by the Muslims to the Judgement of Allah SWT in the Hereafter.

As revealed in the Al-Qur'an, there are some criteria for the Muslims should abide by the ruling normally the correct and the righteous way of fasting as well as the timing of obligation to fast in the blessed month Ramadham.

Finally, as we look upon and observe from the aforementioned verses in the Al-Qur'an is solely for the guidance of the Muslim believers. It is the truth of the Al-Qur'an that is absolutely perfect and preserve as stipulated in the Al-Qur'an. Those Muslims are certain about the Last Day, would abide by the guidance from Allah SWT will be heavenly rewarded and successful in Last Judgement Day in the Hereafter.

The obligation of Fasting (Saum) in the month of Ramadhan

In my recent column, I wrote about how the Muslims are to achieve the highest rewards from Allah SWT Fasting [Saum] in this the blessed month of Ramadhan. As we are at the end of Syaaban 1433H forthwith in the two days time we are going to proceed with a similar blessing month of Ramadham which is to begin on the 1st.Ramadhan 1433H. Here, I opine that it is not to late to call upon the pious Muslims try to strive hard to attain the heavenly rewards as well as to seek forgiveness from Allah SWT in this coming Blessing month of RAMADHAN.

On this aspect of month of Ramadhan, there appeared numerous verses in Al-Qur'an, I would then try to refer to the only selected verses as mentioned below:

Surah Al-Baqarah verses 183 and 184: (The Cow)

Verse 183 - "O you who believe! Observing As-Saum [the fasting] is prescribed for you as it was prescribed for those before you, that you may become Al-Muttaqun [the pious]."

Verse 184 - "[Observing Saum [fast] for a fixed number of days, but if any of you is ill or on a journey, the number [should be made up] from other days. And for those who can fast with difficulty, [e.g a old man], they have [a choice either to fast or] to feed a Miskin [poor person] [for ever day]. But whoever does good of his own-accord, it is better for him. And that you fast is better for you if only you know."

From the above surah Al-Baqarah verse 183 stipulated that As-Saum [the fasting] is not only required to observe and perform by the present days Muslims but was commanded by Allah SWT in the era of other prophets [Roosols] in the olden days. The Islamic fasting is absolutely meant to control one's desires and prevent evil misdeeds who faithfully observe the fasting. In other words, it lead human's heart for Takwa, a word that denotes and encompasses every acts of goodness and learn the self-restraint in our religion Islam.

Further more, Ramadhan is a month of blessing in which Allah SWT sends down Mercy, decrease sins and answer prayers of the Muslim believers. Allah SWT boasts our good deeds to His angels while the unfortunates the poor and the needy will attain the Mercy of Allah SWT the Mighty and Exalted.

As prescribed in verse 184, fasting in Ramadhan is for a number of days either for 29 days or full month of 30 days. If anyone Muslim who is fasting fall ill or on a journey who is unable to observe the fast, he is to fast a similar number of days later. For those Muslim who could not endure on medical means, there is a ransom, that is he is to feed a poor person or needy for each missed days. It is better for him if only he understand the rational of fasting in this blessed month of Ramadhan.

To gather more inspired additional knowledge about this Holy month of Ramadham, I would like to highlight the need of obligation and Takwa as quoted by one of the Islamic Scholars in our country that is YB Datuk Seri Abdul Hadi Awang sir: "It is our duty to take advantage of the Ramadhan to train ourselves to be diligent and istiqamah worship and obedience to Allah SWT revealed in Al-Qur'an in this month as a guide to all people to provide the benefit to human life in this world and Hereafter as the humans will. Therefore, increasing devotion to God means benefit for themselves and the community in every way. Thus, selling are of our worship of the holy month of us close to God, selling more our Takwa Al-Qur'an, charity and forgiveness to God. May we be successful in the world and the Hereafter. So, this Holy month occasion we need to use the maximum positively to show our brotherhood and love them".

Finally, I conclude as for this Holy Ramadhan one's determination and intention [nyat] is to get close to Allah SWT in order to secure the Blessing and the Forgiveness undertaking the freedom from the Hellfire in the Last Day in Hereafter. Fasting is not just about abstaining from foods and drinks but are also commanded by Allah SWT to fast our tongue, eyes and our soul and minds not spared from listening to any forbidden things while observing one's fasting in this Blessed month Ramadham.

Allah SWT is Al-Mighty Most Merciful and Forgiveness.

Prerequisites of the Shahadtiayn ( Kalimah) to the Muslims

In my recent writing, I wrote about regarding the merit of Shahada [Kalimah] and now I would continue try to elaborate the same subject but about the prerequisites of Shahada required to the Muslims. Let us first refer to the Al-Qur'an surah Muhammad verse 19:

Surah Muhammad verse 19: (Prophet Muhammad s.a.w)

"So, know [O Muhammad s.a.w] that, La-illaha-illah none has the right to be worship but Allah] and ask forgiveness for your sin, and also for [the sin who of] believing man and woman, And Allah knows well your moving about and your place of rest [in your house]."

From the above verse, it is dully stipulated that those Muslim believers either man and woman who unconsciously committed the sins, Allah SWT will expiate and forgive their sins to those people who pronounce the SHAHADA would certainly be out of Fire of Hell while those other people being cast into it for failing short of observing this religious obligations.

The other aspect of the merit of Shahada is the statement who pronounce and at the same time who sincerely utter the words would be accepted and absolutely pleased by Allah SWT. Thus, the prerequisite of 'La ilaha illallaah' - is to abandon the worship of all other deities other than Allah SWT. In other words as we say in our testimony: "La ilaha" and worshiping Allah SWT alone as we say in our testimony, "illallah". The said testimony is a remarkable prerequisite as to affirm the 'Uloohiyyah' of the creation, the graves, tombs, trees and stones which are negated by Allah SWT. Those people will believe in 'Tawheed' who sincerely worship Allah SWT.

Further more the prerequisites of Shahada is to act upon the the sincere love of Allah SWT while shirk and other beside Him will negate and deviate the prerequisites of 'La-ilhae - illalaah'. In another aspect, those non-Muslim who desires to convert and have faith in the religion Islam, a non-Muslim convert is specified to declare a Shahadtiayn [ Declaration of Religion Islam - Kalimah] that to declare in their heart and soul that there is no God but Allah SWT and Prophet Muhammad s.a.w is the Messenger of Allah SWT. Then, they become a real converted Muslim in Islam.

Finally, as we look at the Sunnah Rasulullah the Prophet s.a.w once said: "You are going to encounter with people of the Book, so let the first thing you call them to proclaim the 'La-illa-illAllah' [There is no deity worthy of worship but of Allah]. Certainly any Muslims who utter and pronounce the words of 'kalimah' will come out of Fire of Hell and assured of Paradise as they faithfully observe the obligations of our religion Islam.

Understanding of Aqeedah (Belief) in religion Islam

In this usual column, I would like to refer to the Islamic scholar Shyakh Saalih Ibn Fauzan al-Fauzan in his writing in the Islamic way of Life regarding the 'Aqeedah at-Tawheed' that relates the Creed of Islamic Monotheism in our religion Islam. From therein knowledge I gather, the understanding of the 'Aqeedah' is an obligation and a priority in our religion and to those Muslims who deviate from it would absolutely nullified their religious Islam. Let us observe what the Al-Qur'an prescribed in surah Al-Kahf verse 110:

Surah Al-Kahf verse 110: (The Cave)

"Say (O Muhammad s.a.w): "I am only a man like you. It has been revealed to that your llah (God) is One llah (God) - i.e Allah). So whoever hopes for the Meeting with his Lord, let him work righteousness and associate none as a partner in the worship of his Lord."

From the above verse in Al-Qur'an in surah Al-Kahf is narrated that our Prophet s.a.w is just an ordinary human being but who has been specially sent down by Allah SWT to reveal and reaffirm that Allah SWT is the only One God where we are all going to meet Him in the Hereafter and later we all be judge of our good and evil deeds. The utmost important part is we have no other God we worship except Allah SWT alone. This is where Aqeedah ply a great part as regard to the worshiping of Him alone the only God Allah SWT.

Before we go any further we perceived that Aqeedah truly meant one to tie something firmly. In other words such as 'I tied my heart and mind to it', it is the Aqeedah is what a person takes as a religion and he has a good 'Aqeedah' meaning, 'protected from doubts'. So, Aqeedah is an action of the heart, which is to believe and affirm something in the heart.

Further, the true meaning of Aqeedah in Shariah is the believe in Allah SWT, His Angels, His Books, His Messenger, the Last and Judgement Day and believe in al-Qadar {Predestination] - its good and evil. They are called the Pillars of Faith [Eemaan]. Aqeedah is actually divided into two part that is 'Belief and Action'. As the factor of belief is closely related to action. Belief is in the Ruboobiyah [Lordship] of Allah SWT as an obligation to worship Him alone and the beliefs of all the rest of the aforementioned Pillars of Faith. They are the fundemental and principal of our religion Islam.

As in the second issue is the factor of Action is dully coordinated to Belief on the basis how the actions are perform. This is vital in view of the principal of Islamic tenets for instance the obligation of performing daily Solat, disbursing and pay of Zakat [Charity] and Sawn [Fasting] and also other rulings with regard to the believe and action and hold steadfastly to our religion Islam. These are termed as Far'iyyah [the branches] because it is based upon beliefs and devotion in the propagation of religion Islam.

Finally, I conclude that the worship of Allah SWT done by performing religious deeds sincerely for the cause of Allah's SWT sake. Surely, the religion Islam is the worship none other then Allah SWT alone and He has no partnership at all.

Sincere and Faithfully Obedient is for Allah SWT alone.

Sincere Repentance by Muslims Forgiven by Allah SWT

Adapted from the Al-Qur'an surah Al-Tahrim verse 8, I would like to pen down concerning the sincere Repentance by Muslims that would be forgiven by Allah SWT. This is similar to the concept of sincerity in the performing of the prayer but accorded different benefit by Allah SWT. This means that Muslims should also have sincerity in one's repentance and to hate the sin and seek immediate forgiveness for it every time it occurs to one. Let us then observe the Al-Qur'an Al-Tahrim verse 8 that prescribed the matter of sincere repentance needed by Muslims to be qualified and accepted forgiven by Allah SWT below:

Surah Al-Tahrim verse 8: [The {Prohibition]

"O you who believe! Turn to Allah with sincere repentance! It may that your Lord will expiate from you your sins, and admit you into Gardens under which rivers flow [Paradise] - the Day that Allah will not disgrace the Prophet [Muhammad s.a.w] and those who believe with him. Their Light will run forward before them and [with their Records - Books of deeds] in their right hands. They will say: "Our Lord! Keep perfect our Light for us [and do not put it off till we cross over the Sira't [a slippery bridge over the Hell] safely] and grant us forgiveness. Verily, You are Able to do all things."

From the above aforementioned verse, we are commanded to turn to Allah SWT in sincere repentance. It would be then Allah SWT will release from us our sins and surely will admit us into Gardens beneath which the rivers flow as it is known as a Paradise or Heaven. On that particular day Allah SWT will not humiliate the Prophet s.a.w and are those who believe with him. The Lights in the Heaven will shine on them and they supplicate and would say: "Our Rabb! Perfect our Lights on us and given us forgiveness, for You have power over all things." And the Prophet s.a.w once said: "Those who repents from sins is like the one who never sinned."

To go further regarding the real concept of the sincere repentance to those who desire going back to undertake to do the sins, one should has the determination not to return to repent the sins in exaltation of Allah SWT is out of fear of His punishment.

If ever the Muslims who have the sincere repentance met, then those who expect to anticipate one's sins to be forgiven, however one to be careful about how sincere one fulfilling one's condition. It is absolutely reminded to seek forgiveness a lot and to repeat every time the sins come to one's mind.

The conditions for repentance are mentioned below:

1] Learning the sin
2] Resolve not to return to the sin
3] Remorse over being committed the sin
4] Return to Allah SWT for forgiveness

Finally, the above criteria of feeling remorse and guilt are the natural reflection of sinning, if ever a person who has sinned has self-conscious which is a sin who fear Allah SWT and seek repent from Him, Allah SWT will forgive his sins.

Allah SWT ever Merciful and ever Forgiving
